Dumb Numbers and Melvins in 2022

Can anyone shed some light on what this is?

There's a FLAC floating around labeled "Broken Pipe (David Yow Remix)" that runs 2:15, but it's bit-for-bit the same as the actual song on the EP, just without the music box Wizard of Oz outro.

I'm guessing it's one of those JNR deals where the download included just the known cut, and the bonus Yow mix is on the lathe-cut only and never meant to be downloadable.

Adam, if you still visit here every now and then, I'd love to know if that mix will ever pop anywhere else. Or is it the Melvins trolling us again?

It was never really meant to be made widely available. It was basically just the EP version of the song with Yow doing some vocals over the top. I can't find the audio but I found his lyrics:

If there's ever another chance to make use of it, I'd actually love just an acapella version of Yow's bit.
