I haven't watched it yet but i know this is going to be fascinating. I hope Mark brings out another album fairly soon.

Anyone else catch this? I was on Mark D's Instagram page and saw that he's followed by Buzz, and that they follow each other. The reason this caught me by surprise was the fact that apparently Mark & the band had some pretty bad blood following Mark's removal in 1997. Of course, this could mean nothing, but It's interesting nonetheless. I hope that maybe they're able to fix the resentment towards each other and possibly have a Melvins Atlantic years reunion. I did hear that Buzz wanted to re-record the Atlantic albums anyways... What are your thoughts?

I love Mark and I think he belongs in the Melvins. There's a good amount of unfinished business from that era I'd like to hear recorded. Even if it's just a few covers.

I don't put much stock in that actually happening, though. I've become a pretty obsessed Deutromite since the pandemic. I don't think a reunion makes a big financial impact unless maybe there's some payday on a European festival for some rich promoter who secretly has this on his bucket list.

He's a great guy, I really dig his solo stuff and I always make sure to watch any new Youtube videos he puts out. If he ended up getting picked up by the band again to re-record some albums I'd be sat.

Well OK then, The Bluebird album is on my "next to buy" list. I got the nice bundle deal on his previous 3 solo CDs from Season Of Mist label direct a few yrs ago. Bluebird was the new one at the time. It made no sense then to see that the LP was cheaper than the CD. I sort of wanted to keep it consistent and have Mark's albums all on the CD format. Will shop around and get it in either form now.

Real interesting to see that Buzz and Mark follow each other's work online. I wouldn't hold my breath though for a reunion. Buzz has a huge ego(deservedly so), and would never admit to any need to work with Mark again, and Mark's gonna stand his ground. Sure would be the greatest reunion in 30+ yrs of any band though if they buried the hatchet and worked together again.

if Mark is serving as the official historian of that Atlantic/ AmRep era with his content these days, wouldn't Buzz want to keep tabs on it?

I was listening to the Bellringer album today. Do you guys think of it under the original Jettison title as a band release, or as a Mark solo record called Bellringer? I guess Season Of Mist wanted all his discography under one category but i hate when things change like this.

Who else is involved with Bellringer? and what are their other projects?

i recorded the audio of Mark's Riffology playlist. some dope stuff, but only 20 minutes of material. gonna do some remixing, looping my favorites. possibly add drums to the more mellow stuff.
