Hideous Woman is one of the fiercest songs they've done with Steven and I really like the riffs. Some of the lyrics and vocals make me cringe still.

Agreed. The video I think compliments the lyrics and vocals really well.

I've always thought of this album as a collection of b-sides/leftovers from various sessions, cobbled together, and I take it with a grain of salt. I think it's pretty great for what it is!

Just gave it a listen for my first time.  Really enjoyed it.  Having fun taking a deep dive into their catalog.

Relistened to this one last night. I've never disliked it but always considered it a lesser Melvins album. It's actually really good.

I struggle with the track Maybe I'm Amused. I think it's my least favorite Melvins song of all time. There are b-sides... and then there are c-sides like this one.

I like all the other tracks though. War Pussy is awesome.

(My 2nd least favorite is Embrace the Rub in case you were dying to know)

"Maybe I Am Amused" really does stick out on that album. And it lacks a sort of melvininess (until the second lead guitar section perhaps.)

I remember really enjoying this track when it was blaring out of a shitty little speaker at low volume like some bizarro AM radio southern rock version of an early Who tune.

seems like a very Melvins move. make a song with a surviving member of Nirvana and it sounds like 70s am radio cheeze.
