Andy

I challenge you to name one stupid fast solo that actually sounds good. The Slayer ones don't count, for they are basically just random notes and whammy bar abuse. The world will not implode if we never heard another stupid guitar solo again. It might even become a better place.

Having said that, Melvins and Yngwie coming Spring 2005! Unleash the fucking fury!
For your health!

mobmob

yeah i hate it, it's stupid ... but i have to admit there actually are a few.
buckethead's stuff is so whacked out that it's funny.

cooter

I hate when there's a solo and it sounds descent for the first 3/4ths of it and then it gets all fast and complicated like the guitar player is saying "Top That!"

Wyld Stallyns Rule!

Vcavallo

i like the solo in the jimmy eat world song, pain.
i really dislike the rest of the song, and their career, but it is a decent solo for a bad band.

hi , i got the prick record a few days ago and i was nice and all, but then i see this ; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4709601727&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT on ebay  and I see that it has different cd design.

mine is white and black (but doesnt look like a bootleg) and the other one is green and looks more "melviny"

anyone else seen it?

Eponymous

You sure you didn't get shafted?

Mine looks the the ebay one (without the autographs).

dAta

mine looks like the ebay one too. and i've never seen another cover...

klump

it looks okay, i can scan it later :)

if its fake, the guy shure did a heck of a job.

anaconda

My copy has  black and white CD art too klump.

lamestain

correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't PRICK released after kurt died? ...in which case this guy's story doesn't quite add up.  even in the booklet it says that it was recorded during April '94.  kurt died on the 5th... the autographs look authentic, i just wanted to clarify the release date of PRICK.

also, my prick cd is b/w as well & its not a bootleg.  i believe the b/w copies are just later pressings.

norecess

I think you're right. According to AMG it was released in August.

Mesteren

The album was originally going to be called "Kurt Kobain" but they changed the name to "Prick" because of what happened.
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

PRICK = K.C. R.I.P.

Quote from: lamestain... i believe the b/w copies are just later pressings.

I think the B+W version is the first pressing actually. Since the graphic on the ebay one has the rocking M, which is a reference to Stag. And that came out in 95-96.

Michael

I am pretty certain that the black and white cover is a later pressing because I purchased the color version when it came out in '94 and I doubt that AmRep went through an entire run of the CDs that quickly.

The black and white might also be a promo copy...

...but why would they make a promo copy???
