Mark probably will never talk about it, but I'm curious about his exit from the band, when buzz said it wasn't fun playing with him anymore. Would be interesting to hear marks side.

yeah,i think it will never happen but i'd be curious to hear Mark talking about that too

Ditto.
Well, we'll always have "In the Air Tonight." Will that be your most enduring song?
You know, that song won't lie down. It just won't go away. I mean, there's a Mike Tyson moment associated with it now. It's just bizarre. I guess it has a bit of mystery, a lot of atmosphere, and the drums coming in, pinning people to the wall.

I think Mark's a little too classy to do a video on that just for content. He's been pretty direct about his firing in interview over the years though, and his story hasn't much changed. Called out of the blue and gave him the boot. Seemed to surprise him. I bet it was more a matter of Mark maybe being less willing to defer to Buzz as the executive mind of the band. Kitchen only big enough for one head chef, so to speak.

Thanks for posting these, PepsiMike.

I really love this album, but I've always wondered what was going on with these songs, who some of the voices heard are, who the fuck Jeff Thomas was/is, etc. (A little disappointed that he didn't talk about which band member was the Trekkie who laid the Kirk/Spock duel theme over "Chief Ten Beers.")

Always cool to hear from Mark, but his telling some of the back stories for this one is a real treat. Can't wait to hear about the other albums. Maybe if some of his Patreon donors (*cough* jules *cough* sadcorps) put the squeeze on him, he'll talk about HONKEY!

I would've put money on it being Dale who voiced the pure digital vocal on Pure Digital Silence. That was as revelatory as finding out the last line in Eye Flys is "to be preyed" not "to be freeeee".
My eyes have been opened and I am a new man.

It is the best - today he posted some more of his record collection. It is like the Mark D School of Music there.

Yes! And I'm really impressed by the personal yet universal nature of his writing. That Chuck Berry essay was fascinating! He's had me listening to Chuck all day!
