I'm sick of Buzz going on about how awesome she is. I don't hear it myself and at the time of fame i certainly didn't see it either. She was just a random drug addict with a dumb beehive haircut and a voice trying to imitate old timey music from the past. It was painfully obvious she wasn't mentally stable for quite a while before she died. All in all she seems like the kind of person Buzz would want to totally avoid.

nah amy winehouse was an enormous talent and that record is great

A terrible audio Buzz interview that sounds like it was recorded either in McDonalds or a locker room with a clearly nervous host!

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

Didn't see 'Thunderball' in the Melvins Album section, I was wondering about some of the synth sounds on the album.

Did Buzz get a semi-modular synth at some point? I saw a photo of him holding up a rack that looked like it was all custom modules, my guess is that some of them are 'clone' circuits from classic synthesizers.

I would like to know more about some of the modules in his synths and wanted to ask about how it was built etc.

If I remember correctly, he got the synth samples from'void manes' and 'ni maitres' and made something out of that. Ni is friendly, he might know more. https://www.instagram.com/nimaitres/

I thought some of those synth sounds were pretty far out, some of them sounded like they were off some classic wacky synth LP's from the early 70's like 'Silver apples of the moon' ...Some of it's pretty modular sounding stuff...it worked very well.

I've been slowly getting pulled into the Void Manes universe. Altogether he's got about three hours up on Bandcamp and I bought it all last BCF. That self titled cassette is the crown jewel. The Data Podcast is really cool. The short live clips are wild.

Anyway, I bring this up because he does use a good amount of sounds that I find familiar on the Thunderball record. I don't know what they are since I'm not a synth enthusiast. But I think those gutsy synths are probably VM.
