A lot of good things have slipped by me, I probably heard about this initially, then slept through.

I never found this CD all that listenable.

))))((((

I had totally forgotten about this. I probably listened to it once back then and that was it. You are right, it's quite cool and enveloping. I like it. The only thing with remixes is that it is dangerous to listen to them too much in case they ruin the listening experience of the original song!

Dumpster D

I kinda already like it better than the original. It's that beat, it just gets stuck in there good.

80s drum machines have no soul. Dorky mod wheel keyboards. The risk here is not liking this better than the original - it's hating the song so much that when you hear the original it's traumatically associated with this shit.

I'm biased.

Hey it totally worked for this. Bowie had a beat machine, and used it on the rough demo, and said he wanted to overdub it with a real drum track but Iggy totally loved it and said No way, the drum machine is what makes it!!

I've never been a fan of this batch of remixes. Give me Chicken Switch or Electroretard. Clearly the Melvins had no input on this release, otherwise it would be more interesting

they had input to the point of giving over the individual instrument tracks, because this is clearly not just the album version chopped up with different beats added.

Why should it have to be any more or less than it is?

It doesn't.

Some People will not like it, which is totally fine...It's not trying to be more than it is... it's straight up.

If it sounds good to you, then it's good.

I think it's catchy and cool. A bit downplayed, and the tendency is to always go overboard with electronics. This is not trying to overdo it.

Someone's put a bit of thought into the keyboards, it's got a bit of an 8-bit tone, kinda reminds me of something new wavey...Like the Cars, and it kinda takes on another form than more modern Electronic dance which gets a little stuttered and a bit too cutup.

This sounds like something *Anyone* could totally do!!  That's what got me interested in making music in the first place.

Gives a different perspective on the guitar riff and shows how effective something simple can be... really highlights the lead...If I was more of a Melvins 'insider' I'd be tempted mixing in different vocal parts and goof it up a lot more in a Melvins kind of way but that's not what this is.

This is for your average club night, anyone could dance to it, and get into it.

It makes me wanna start Jamming to it, that's one thing for sure.

Worked for Trent Reznor also. He sampled that beat for Closer
