Does anyone have any idea what kind of set they are going to play in the UK? Is it POTRE, or more "traditional" Melvins stuff? I bet they go with a little of both and use David Scott Stone on bass. Anyone know?

As long as they don't bring Jello I don't care. Well, I demand Night Goat but that's a staple anyway. My guess is that it'll be Pigs heavy with a trip down to Houdini...But please God don't let them play any of the shite from Never Breathe...

I presume Kevin's just about out of the band now, right?

Don't count Kevin out by any means. I think we will see him again in time. If he were out for good I think the Melvins would have made a definite statement to that effect by now. Remember, Buzz does not mince words when it comes to how he feels. You know how he talks about Deutrom and especially Preston. I think you are right about the set, and I really don't think Jello will show up to ruin your day. You are lucky you get to see them! My only saving grace is that I get to see PORN (with Crover) in March. Somebody in the UK needs to take some pics during the shows and post them!

If I go with someone who doesn't feel like leaping around like some kind of dervish I'll take my digicam but if not, sorry matey...I intend to enjoy this show...

my guess for the set list is that it will be like the tour this year which was let it all be and tipping the lion to start off and some potre, the fool, buncha noise, lovely butterflies, most definitely night goat, and black stooges for closers.

Quote from: *blue*sabbath*Sir David Scott Stone is trying out for the bass position in Slint. he left Seattle early on Jan 1st to go to Minneapolis to audition that day. he's just filling in for the time being.
For the most part the Melvins are on hiatus till the summer, maybe a one-off show here and there.
there are no plans for Kevin to be replaced. Dale and Buzzo love Kevin.
Kevin is doing better and recovering from his illness- although the official line really is that "he simply disappeared."

Did you see that on the other post? Is it bollocks? The ATP that the Melvins are playing at is the Slint one. That seems really weird to me. Anyway, Slint are playing London after ATP so don't count out Mr Stone for the Melvins gig I suppose.
For your health!

From what I've heard, Slint's bassist will be Todd Cook (of The Glasspack, Shipping News and For Carnation). The Glasspack's site (http://www.theglasspack.com/news/) seems to confirm it.
