Although rumoured here and there, Al Jourgensen from Ministry will not join Killing Joke on stage during their 25th anniversary gigs in London. In a chat with Side-Line a spokeswoman for Jourgensen said: 'Raven and Al discussed this possibility in Portland Oregon last year when we were on the Evil Doer Tour. However, due to Al's studio schedule - he is currently working on a re-mix for The Melvins/Jello Biafra - he will not be able to perform in London for the Killing Joke Anniversary celebration.' Nevertheless Paul Raven, Jaz Coleman and Al Jourgensen are currently discussing plans for a collaboration project. More to come as those plans unfold.

Now that should be something to look forward to!

Will he edit out Jello's voice though? Here's hoping

i havent listened to that record for the simple fact that jello sings on it. i was hoping he just did hand claps.

as far as Raven and Killing Joke. One year i was "backstage"(man am i cool) with Prong. I asked Raven, their current bassist, about Killing Joke and said they were coming to town. He was bassically like "fuck them"

people change i guess, or it could  be money.

for the record i was with the band Clutch, and they opened for Prong. Tommy victor was really nice. I called him on the Dat tape of the rythm guitar and he was like, "yeah, what can i say im cheating."  we pissed together.

a tour later he had a second guitarist.

If it's just a remix of "Never Breathe", I'll stay away. The CD is fine as is. I can't picture Al doing anything good to it. Never was into him or Ministry. There's just something I don't like about that guy.

Ron Maiden

i liked Ministry's songs that had videos but i never heard the whole albums.

i did buy a Lard cassette. which just happenned to have Jello on vox. So i guess i have own one thing with jello. Fork Boy was a good track.

Might this be a re-mix and release of the Melvin's / Biafra show from Seattle on 01-30-04?

I doubt they'd get Al in to do that.

i doubt jourgensen's hands will even touch the
mixing desk on this, he'll probably supply the
drugs and let the engineer handle the technical
aspect. he's a good showman but nobody believes he's
a good mixer, let alone a remixer.

Ciao,
i`ve been a Ministry-fan since 95, but became an even more dedicated Melvins-fan when I by accident bumped into their performance at Roskilde 2003. Since i became interested in music in the late seventhees i have never got the chance to listen to the worlds greatest band ever. It`s a miracle that I didn`t catch them before 2003, cause my musical taste is more than alternative. Why am I using my first post on this forum on Ministry? Well, you haven`t experienced Ministry at their best unless you have watched them live, just like with The Melvins. I strongly recommend doubters to watch and even buy Ministrys live-dvd "Spinchtour", an awesome collection of Ministry-performances around the world.

Otherwise you can visit the following links:

http://www.jtmp.org/ (click on the link "Assault on Bush" to the right in the downward menu)

Otherwise I have to say that I`m happy to join fellow Melvins-fans on this forum and wish you all a great Melvins-year. I hope by god I get to see them either here in Norway or at a festival in the summer.

Hepp-hepp!

I saw ministry on their latest tour..... 2004, and it was TRASH.
They used soo many DAT tapes and played only new stuff. Fakest concert I've ever seen and the openners sucked. I just headbanged untill my neck broke, but there was nothing to watch on stage really. I had a good time though, it was a good experience.

Also, i downloaded the sphinctour DVD and it BLOWS... worst ever. It covers about 6 or 7 different concerts and the footage switches from one concert to another every 6 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I do respect Ministry, and al..... And look forward to hear what he'll do with the melvins and jello. I can't say I know why though...
