Booing the Melvins

I just read this article in some newsgroup:

On the contrary, the only time I saw the Melvins WAS with Lorax.
They opened for Mr. Bungle.    Everyone in a Fishbone or Chili peppers
  shirt booed them.

Dale left the stage saying "Mr Bungle Says Fuck You" bringing on
  more boos.

Little did the audience know HOW pissed Bungle were that one of their
favorites the Melvins were so disrespected.

What followed was one of the strangest shows I have ever seen.
The first 15 minutes were one big synchronous strumm of guitars
   at 2000 decibels.  50 minutes
into the show, Mr. Bungle performed NOTHING from their album and went
on to do things which varied from the liked of Napalm Death, Negativland,
and John Zorn.  When they finally did two songs from the album (
I think "Travolta" and "My Ass is on Fire") Vlad Drac Patton yelled
into the mike. "REPEAT AFTER ME!  I LOVE THE MELVINS!" and strangely
  enough the audience did.

One of the most shocklingly different yet greatest I have ever seen from
   two bands live.

It seems a lot of people do not like the melvins.

And yet, when people tell them to like 'em, they do?
