Thanks man! The Boner twofer it is...though I still have a question, is the sound quality in the Ipecac reissue that drastically improved or is it a question of it just being pumped up louder? DAMMIT oh well I guess that if they ever do reissue 'Ozma' the Boner package will go out of print, thus becoming a rare, valuable collector's item...right? Right?  :?

I'd say get the Boner one as well.  The reissue probably won't have the lyrics to Ozma and nearly 80min of Melvins is the most bang for your buck.

I think the Ipecac version of GPT sounds noticeably better but the Ozma version doesn't sound bad at all.  If the Boner Ozma does go out of print I'm doubting the old copy will ever be worth more than $10.

I am really starting to love this album.

Look out! There were (at least) 2 pressings of Gluey on Alchemy. First one has Buzz' and Matt's names switched and the lay out is a bit different. Front of the sleeve and labels are identical.
Today, about 24 years after buying the original in a record shop in Dundee, Scotland, I found the 'alternative' Gluey Porch Treatments. The print is unprofessionally dark, the sleeve material is inferior to the original, and if it wasn't for the matrices being the same (VM103-A1/B2), I'd dare to say it might even be a bootleg. Even the centre labels are a bit different. But looking above I see you've already got it covered. Thought I'd share the photos with you, though:

They also have Buzz and Matt mislabeled on the inferior one.
Hail, not fail.

As I noticed time and time again in the post your melvins collection thread, there's supposed to be a red stripe on the cover of the ipecac reissue.

But on my version there isn't. It's just a stretched picture of the kids.

(looks like this when you take out the inlay)

Anyone else having that anomaly? Is it a different edition? Maybe just the european version distributed by Southern. Barcode: (7)1875244122(3)

I guess that's it. Thanks for the tip, I tend to forget about discogs.

Dumpster D

who the fuck re-pressed a record from an original and fucked up the Persons NAME!!!

OFF A COPY THAT IS ALREADY IN CIRCULATION,probly sitting right there in front of you that you USED to make an inferior ZEROX copy, can't even get the friggin' contrast right either!!!

It's like cheating off a flawless TEST and accidentally copy the guys fucking name instead of YOURS!!!

:?

(PAUL)

I always wondered why they left Mark D's name off the reissue, if it was just because they didn't like him or to spite him or something.

I am really starting to love this album.

Me too. It's about as rhythmically complex as anything they've ever done, which is saying a lot. For me that's a big reason why it rules so much.

So I just bought a brand new copy of Gluey Porch Treatments and I have some questions about it. I don't know if it's a reissue or a well done bootleg. It looks pretty legit to me. It has 6 Songs at the end of it. Sorry for the crappy images they're from my cell phone

It looks pretty good but it's a bootleg. There are two GPT bootlegs around at the moment, maybe a German and a U.S. one. Have a look at this thread:

A bit of useless information I just learned: this was allegedly bootlegged by an Israeli guy living in Germany. That's why you sometimes see this as being located in "Israel" on eBay, but it is a German bootleg.
