Cow drum solo

In the early 2000's a friend of mine (let's just say he played drums for Survival Knife) played me an old recording of a 1950's or 60's band that had the exact same drum solo that Dale plays beat for beat on Cow.  I was floored as I thought it was originally Dale.  Does anyone know who the drummer was or who the band was?  I'd ask my friend, but I non longer have any of his contact information as he moved away.

50's or 60's doesn't really narrow anything down. We're missing a vital clue.

If nothing else, try to look your friend up online through social media, you have the band name 'survival knife' and your friends name, that's a start at least.

maybe something like Link Wray, Dick Dale, Screaming Jay Hawkins? dunno....
