Thanks for the mp3, but is it supposed to be so concentrated in the left channel?

benton netty

you da man, dawg. big ups to you.

is it only in one speaker like that on the record?

man, i like the feel of this version a thousand million times better than the album version. wow. it doesn't sound like underwater ministry anymore, it sounds like the melvins. and dale's drums are fucking jazz, baby, especially at the end. this sounds to me like the song the melvins recorded before lustmord went crazy on it. almost sounds like a live take, save for the vocals.

i'd like to hear a whole alternate version of the album, now!

klump

thanks for the song:)

I think the track sounds very much like the normal one, but Ill listen to it later with better speakers later (Im at work) I think it sounds less soggy though (yeah, less ministry under water, hehe)
Its just a alternate mix or maybe a tracking track?

I think Ill buy the vinyl version, it looks sweet :)

klump

But I dont know if you should have that site up for very long, maybe youll get in trouble?

I for one only got more convinced that I want the vinyl version too, but maybe theyll get pissed because of the mp3?

anaconda

This blows the CD take out of the water.

klump

hmmm, I dont think so.
but thats jsut my opinion.

Its a cool version, but I like what Lustmord did.

Vcavallo

they both have their own merits, in my opinion.
you might be right about taking down the mp3...

sorry about the right-concentration, it's something about the old shitty record player's [$5 at a yard sale. AM/fm, dual tape with speakers, headphones, and a handful of records...that's old vermont locals for ya..] audio out.  the speaker sound fine, but the headphone jack is kinda...well, jacked.

I just dumped that mono track into ProTools, I'll post up a stereo version in a bit, once I get both sides EQ'ed to the point of satisfaction.

Yeah, they are both cool, this one sounds more alive.

I dont think the melvins would complain about an mp3, but you never know.
I wouldnt like for you to get in trouble.

thanks Cavallo.  you went out of your way for all of us and it is appreciated.  haven't listened to the MP3 yet, but that vinyl looks sweet!

anaconda

really well done vinny, i still cant believe how much more I like this track rather than the CD version, as you say theyre two different beasts

i am glad everyone likes it, and i appreciate the kind words.  next time i am going to do something that involves an ounce of thought though, i won't bitch about how hard it is and how i keep forgetting.  it really wasn't that difficult and i don't want it to seem like i am making it to sound like harder work than it was.  it was pretty painless, and it worth it to me to do something for the people round here.

thanks again for the appreciativeness.  YOU'RE ALL THE FAMILY I'VE GOT!!

oh jeez no that would be horrible...

adios, papas fritas uber allies...(anyone here read The Stranger?  almost done with it now, Fantastic book! highly reccomened.)
