Vcavallo

it was well over one day's worth of music, so i just listened to the playlist whenever i was in my room (college), and i would pick up where i left off, so it was pretty much 2 or 3 days of constant melvins in order.  it rocked.  everyone should do it.  it was religious...gave me a whole new understanding.  plus it led to me to believe there is a connection between the last song on bullhead (cow) and the first song on eggnog (the next album).  listen to the two and you'll see.  it may be a coincidence, but it seems like they go together nicely.... (i've posted this before)

Well he was in the Cows. Shannon always reminded me of Willem Dafoe's character in " Wild at Heart "

i've always thought shannon looked like henry fonda, especially in my darling clementine as wyatt earp

I was of the understanding that Lorax was kicked out of the band because of her increased drug habits, I may be wrong.  Eggnog was the last release she is credited on. Although I remember her mentioned on Houdini also, not sure...

Leroy

Wasn't Joe Preston already in the band by the time that Bullhead and Eggnog came out?  Because he was in the salad of 1000 delights video , and that was filmed in 1991.

Leroy,

I think he joined at the end of 91, after Eggnog came out, because Lorax is credited with bass on both. I'm looking at my copy of Bullhead and her picture with a guitar in front of it is on the inside, along with Buzz and Dale, also with guitars in front of them.

Ash

haha I like how this conversation has switched subjects

Not sure if cleared this up but Kurt Cobain knew Dale Crover in High school, don't think Cobain went to high school with Buzz.

brian

her father charles black died on thursday, if anyone is wondering, lori works as a librarian at a high school in san francisco.

mumu

Wow, I wondered what happened to her.

Ms. Lorax, when is this book due?
It's all fucking good-dini as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I'd eat a MELVINS deep fried turd. GO MELVINS!!

Ive read that a) Buzz used to drive Lori down to Haight Ashbury to score H. Also that B) She developed lymphoma, and C) She moved to somewhere in Mexico or South America.

This was all from interviews I stumbled across on the internet in the mid 90s.

Vcavallo

don't believe anything you read.
especially about buzz. he is a infamous liar/joker and people, namely interviewers, take him way too seriously.

When I was a kid I used to think all the Sun headlines were real, because I couldn't comprehend that it would be legal to print that stuff. So because essentially I am very gullible I became a skeptic as a defense mechanism, I suppose. Yesterday I said this exact statement outloud to a passenger in my van, and then took a right turn only to find myself right behind a car with a license tag that said "SKEPTIC." Weird huh? I mean I would think that would be a really hard tag to get, and the synchronicity involved blew my frickin' mind.  The timing of the events made it like an exclamation point to my sentence. Weird.

Dr.Seuss is a great writer. The Lorax is one of my favorites. The cartoon of the book rules too!
