I just prefer the current drum set up.

Hey has anyone noticed that since the BB boys have been around and the two kits are always together on an angle, that even when Dale is playing alone now, say in Shrinebuilder or whatever he still has his kit at the same angle like he normally would if Coady was there. I like that. (see below etc)

The Melvins play "Hag Me" at the Roseland in Portland, Or on 5-24-09

One other thing i like about the current set up is how Dale seems really encased in the drums. Everything seems so close and awkward, yet he always kills it. AMAZING. Really wish the gong was back tho.  :( Even if he didn't use it, it just looks really cool. Actually if i might ask, which songs did Dale used to use the gong on anyway??

(the) Razor

That was a pretty bad-ass setup Stallion, nice pics.

Hope that doesn't keep you up at night.

Wooooooaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!

I've been wishing to read that article again for ages yet couldn't find it. Thanks Stallion.  =D>

On a side note does anyone know when he got rid of the gong, 2007 perhaps? Plus what songs he used to use it for?

black stallion

i think it's not so easy to go on tour with two kits and a gong..he used the gong recently with the current line up too (Mechanical Bride and probably beginning of Talking Horse). he used the gong a lot during the intro of Night Goat too

ps: a few years ago norecess sent me a melvins dvd (kevin era) where the show ends with Dale alone on stage hitting the gong like a beast for about ten minutes. so good!

Leroy, tell us what the Melvins will do in the future (2012/13)...we must know.

kevin back on bass, dale back to huge drum size and gong, buzz back to les paul...new stuff will be heavy. can't say more than this

Please God give me this future and I promise I will stop pissing on the toilet paper roles at church.

Uncle Fester

i really need a picture of dales ribbon crashers.
I gave him one when they came to vancouver in like 2008, I have always wondered if he actually uses it.

JUDY

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! You just made my night/morning with this!!!!!!!
Thanks, stallion!

I love the current line-up, but I think it's due for a change up. Big Business shall continue on their own!!! Living the legacy!!

Kevin gets my vote for sickest bass player, but I don't think he's coming back either.  But I agree, I want more of the the hard, heavy, mean Melvins! (GROWL!!!)

I wish for.... More gong. More Les Paul. More slowed and throwed.

I always wondered why Trevor never officially joined.....
But at the same, I want to be surprised. I want something new. I want another fucking kick in the face Melvins.
Bring it.
