Greenmushroom

I did not know that Buzz has (or had) any side projects expect Fantomas.
If there are some, please name the other ones too.

I'm not sure if the project even has a name yet,
but it also has Shane from Napalm Death on it
as well.

i'm pretty excited about this, though i'd rather hear new melvins. the whole side project thing is getting just a bit ridiculous, in my opinion.

And I think that Melvins/Jello Biafra project is coming out early 2004 too.  Does Buzz sing any vocals on that album?  I hope so.

turnacus

I'm skeptical how much Buzzo we will here. But whatever, I'll still buy it.

And yeah, I wish all the side project ideas the melvins would just use in their own music. And no, I don't count fantomas as a sideproject.

What's this? If you could give more insight, that'd be cool.

Also, I guess everyone read the newsflash on that side project thingie on the main section of this site, but just to make sure, Mick Harris isn't playing drums for them anymore.
I guess it's cause he's stupid, but the official version is they have Danny Herrera (currently in Napalm death) on the drums now.

To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

eYeAri

the Melvins/Jello Biafra album is due early 2004, http://www.alternativetentacles.com should have some information on it.
as far as Buzz, Mick and Shane from Napalm Death, and Kevin Sharpe from Brutal Truth, that's going to be fucking vicious. A new Melvins is quite welcomed too!! The fucking cover art better pay my bills or something glorious with that new Fantomas album!

Mick Harris isn't playing for them anymore, and hasn't been in ND for quite some time now. They (ND and the Buzz/Sharp/Embury band) replaced him with Danny Herrera, current Napalm drummer.

eYeAri

Well golly gee! Mick hasn't been in Napalm for years? No shit man.
seeing as how he left back in '91, formed Scorn with Nick Bullen, broke that up and started Lull. Also spending time working with Mr. John Zorn and Mr. Bill Laswell in Painkiller. But he's not in THAT group anymore either. And let's see, that would also explain Danny Herrera's presance in Napalm Death since the Utopia Banished album wouldn't it? But guess what, whether or not he is still the band is not the issue, he WAS in Napalm Death, for a number of years, 5 me thinks, and my comment reflects that.

There's no need to get arsy with him simply because you phrased your original comment badly. Don't be condescending if the fault lies at your end.
