Does anyone know if their is a book about The Melvins? If not, there should be. I also think its about time for another film/concert DVD of The Melvins. Ipecac ought to see to this. It would sell pretty well imho.

Nope, no book I'm afriad. The Melvins themselves are producing an art book next year, but sadly they're of such limited appeal that most publishers wouldn't even consider a Melvins book. It's a sad state of affairs but that's how it is...The closest you'll get is 'We rock so you don't have to' or Everett True's 'Live Through This' both of which have chapters on the Melvins...

Interesting...Though I despise Mr True I'll have to check that chapter out...

In actual fact, it's more like 5 or 6 pages...they share a chapter with the Jesus Lizard IIRC...

wasn't someone one here doing a book on Lysol?

Everybody Loves our Town has some Melvins stuff in it.  Buzz and Dale pop up throughout it and They have an entire chapter early on about their begining.  Pretty good book overall especially if you like that era of music.

The Rocco's Adventure magazine that came out a few years ago would be the closest thing to a Melvins Book.

It's worth seeking out.. Very thorough. It covers every era from the beginning up through the current lineup.

My Lysol book fell apart 3 years ago amidst personal turmoil and after the proposal ultimately not getting accepted by Continuum publishing. I may still resurrect it someday in some form. The Rocco's Adventure thing was definitely very well done and worth reading.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the Rocco's Adventure magazine? My google search is coming up blank.

Awesome! Thank you for the help! I was spelling Rokko wrong!
