this is something i always wanted to ask:
there was this interview after releasing Houdini... where Buzzo says they're "Arena-friendly". you remember?
but i dont think they've played one??? havent seen any pics from a arena.

they opened for TOOL once in a very large venue.  they got booed and ridiculed and maynard lost some respect for his fans.

not sure if it was an arena, though

Don't forget the shows they opened for Nirvana on Nirvana's last European tour. Nirvana was supposed to play in Ahoy, Rotterdam somewhere in '94 which's capacity is 10.000 I believe, to give you an indication.

They opened for Tool in Australia after H.A.T came out.   played at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

i saw them open for zombie at an ampitheatre here.  it fits 17,000.  and yes they were booed off the stage. we left after watching rev. heat and half of a laughable zombie performance.

whenever someone puts down the melvins i instantly become their enemy.
what the fuck would you guys do if they got booed off stage when you saw them
which is basically your reason for going...?

I dont think they ever actually leave the stage when they are booed at...they just punish the crowd with 50 minutes of noise and feedback.
