I recently read that Thurston Moore was briefly a member of Porn.  I did not know this. 

if i remember correctly during the ATP curated by Melvins Thurston Moore joined Porn during their set. i think norecess was there and told me about that, i might be wrong though

it was just a one-off thing for the melvins curated at edition. thurston moore was there with lydia lunch i think??? i remember watching men of porn and wondering who is this tall goofy looking hipster wearing a tshirt with an undecipharable-black metal logo on bass, but couldn't see his face due to his shoegazing pose, but then at the end I saw his face and of course it was thurston, duh! brent hinds also joined the stage briefly, but he was drunk. it was just one long jam.

I never liked Mastodon, other than a song the drummer sings and in the video they're floating in space cool song that, but Mastodon recently did a headline tour with Kerry King supporting them. If KK did a tour with the Melvins his band would be headlining. Mastodon do pretty well for themselves.
