Hey,

I was at the concert yesterday in Paris and sure it was awesome...

It was my first Melvins gig.

The performance was amazing, and I understand now why Dale Crover needed to "take a shower" (lol)and rest after the set of Porn. There was so much energy!

One of the things I dreaded was the sound of the guitar of King Buzzo. I personally find that it is quite different on "A senile animal", maybe a little overproduced. Less powerful than on other albums, Stoner Witch and Stag for instance. But that certainly has to do with the sound of the bass which is quite different from Mark D's.

But as soon as he started playing I forgot all about it. It was a biting incisive warm tube amp sound. Extraodinarily piercing when he made bends!

They played THE BIT much more slowly than on the album.

The only minus: I wish King B. had talked a little more to the audience other than to say he did not speak French and that it was stupid to throw beer on the drums.

Yeah, he almost never talks during live shows.

Sorry to go off topic here, but what the fuck is up with people throwing beer, and cigarettes, and bottles n shit at bands?  Why do you pay your hard earned $$ to go to a show and throw shit?  And this happens everywhere, I know that.  I've loved seeing idiots at shows throw shit, only for the crowd to turn on them and knock the shit out of em.  It's a nice sense of justice.

Sorry.....just heard a couple cases of it lately and I had a rant pop in my head.
