Are you absolutely sure it was a cover or could it have been Lovely Butterfly???

LOVELY BUTTERFLY

Nasty nature done for meat
Have you cut with all three knives?
Sing light for empty suite
The lovely butterfly

Have you ever only eaten what's alive?
Cut the thing for meat
Skin cooker for the hide
Cooked on the inside

I got a belly full of prime
Crawling through my intestines
Gristle-thick pork chop rot tan
The lovely butterflys.

Pretty much sounds like Lovely Butterfly to me. Wasn't that the closer? Awesome song.

Yeah. My guess'd be "Lovely Butterfly."

That's on Honky. Pick it up.

There's also a pretty sweet version on Electroretard.
But good luck finding that in your local muzak shack.

The only Melvins cover I want to hear live is "Jerkin' Krokus."
It was such a perfect choice for them.

I guess you are right guys.  I just listened to Honk.  It seems that the version of it atthe Emo's show was a bit altered a la live Melvins style.  It's been a while since I listened to that album.  Greta stuff.

Thanks!

No it was not CHROME by the Jesus Lizard or SACRIFICE by FLIPPER.
The song came in about three quarters of the way through the set, maybe a little later.
It was definitely a cover.  The lyrics were more or less recited by Buzz over the music.

The lyric "IN-Test-STINES!'' was the only word I can recall.
lovely butterfly is the song

Just a question:

Does Lovely butterfly on Electroretard closely resemble Lovely Butterfly when they play it live, because it sounds nothing like it does on Honky when they play live.

Besides the songs mentioned they also covered Chrome by The Jesus Lizard but I doubt that's what you are talking about.

did someone say Jesus Lizard?
the song chrome is actually a medley of 2 chrome songs. the liz just made a song of the 2 parts. sorry if im coming across as a lizard snob but im bored.
