Indeed he did. For The Mechanical Bride among other things.

I always felt like the ASA/NWB tours were the last time the setup that started in the late 90's/early 00's was used.
Gong, gong bass drum, Hiwatt stack, that whole shebang.

Yeah, I saw Melvins for the first time in 2008, and I've always thought it was cool I got to see a show with Buzz and his Les Paul.

I find it very interesting what Buzz says about Tom Waits' "Hell Broke Luce". I always got a strong Melvins vibe from that tune, especially with the "left, right, left" hook giving off a Little Judas Chongo feel.
