mmmm, let me think about it. Tora Tora Tora was a boxset, right? i might have heard something from a friend who downloaded it on soulseek but not recently. as for the Cowboy 7", that one probably i havent' heard.. do you have both of them?
Yes. Tora is a box of singles recorded live around '94/'95; there's a lot of crowd interaction on it!

Cowboy is the band talking to the crowd between songs at a gig and asking them not to jump the stage. It builds up and up, and finally....... well, you'll have to listen to it.

Side 2 is Smelly from Plainfield screaming at the crowd.

Seems to be the only new addition to the setlist on this leg.

I wonder why they don't switch it up more often - Steve is versatile and there is so much unexplored music from the 2010s alone.

AMAZON must be one of the most badass Melvins songs. Truly. Such a simple riff and yet it feels great to hear it over and over!!! Love the sight of Buzzo doing his Buzzo thing in the flashing lights at the beginning here.

amazon was enormo at the los osos show. the venue was tiny, easily the smallest room i've seen them in except for in-stores. low ceiling and the stage like a foot off the ground. place was smaller than pappy&harriet's, which is pretty dang small.  and that song just sounded so huge.

it was easily one of the best mlvns gigs i've witnessed. my gf said it was her all-time favorite, and she's seen her share too.  the place got soooo fuckin rowdy. people in off-the-beaten-path locations really appreciate when artists make the effort to come their way. at the end dale said 'seeya next year.' if they do go back, i'll def be there.

Halo has been rotating in the set since 2015, At a Crawl since 2018

By "switching it up" I really mean digging into some material they haven't played live before or haven't played in ages. For example, as much as I love The Bit and Night Goat, I wouldn't mind giving those a rest to make way for something different.

Those two songs have long been the biggest offenders in terms of being over-played. They might not perform them on one tour but by the next one they get reinstated yet again. SO many awesome Melvins songs that have been neglected or never even got one live airing!! Shocking really.
