THe conservatory is a cool place, been there a couple times. I talked to a contact in OK and he said the crowd was really shitty last time around, and that Dale tackled (!) some drunk dude and drug him out of the club. Plus the turnout is alwas really small up there, lke 40-50 people MAYBE. Prolly not a great idea profit wise.

i live in oklahoma. the melvins came though last year and it was the worst crowd iv ever seen at the conservatory.  Dale tackled some drunk ass Indian like 10 minuets into the porn set. it was really sad.  iv never seen that many turds in the conservatory. i know it sold out so they made some money but im sure they don't wanna come back after dealing with that many assholes but big business came back so who knows?

to make a long story short im going up to Lawrence on tuesday.

hopefully. we have the show booked but i have a strong feeling half of our band is pretty much done and if thats the case i might just go make a bunch of noise and piss everyone off. it would be a shame to not take the opportunity to share the stage with all 3 of those bands.

You'd think with them having covered Okie From Muskogee they'd come down and give us simple country folk some love.  I can understand if the problem is selling tickets, I guess I can only hope they tour with a band with a bit bigger following sometime soon (I'd kill to see a Melvins/Clutch show), hopefully just not too big like Tool, though I'd easily pay the $50 for tickets and put up with the sea of morons and squeeze my way to the front for the Melvins set.

By time they come through Oklahoma or I have the means to travel to Dallas, my hair will probably be bigger than Buzz's.

What the fuck!!!!! hey i live in oklahoma i saw the melvins at the conservatory last november they had a great time when they came through ..the owner of size records is good friends with dale crover and tim moss they had stop[ped by a few times when there near oklahoma from what im told! there trying to book them again in the next couple months.and big business has been through more than a couple times oklahoma is not to bad if you wanna talk football dead cowboy better rethink that! haha..i wanna admit we were awfuly lucky to see the melvins but the conservatory is the best place in ok to watch music..jarred and coady told me the melvins would be back they get shitty crowds everwhere...so to answer your question THE MELVINS WILL BE BACK!!!!!!
