i haven't been on the board in ages.
i've got no time to read right now.  no time to write.

i'm going to the fillmore show tonight and the luna lounge show tomorrow.
i'm wearing black shorts and a white shirt (or maybe a black sweatshirt if it gets chilly) and i'll be with a tall-ish brunette.

if you see me say hi.

i don't know if this date has been posted about before, but i know there a bunch of NYC board members... hopefully we'll get to talk.

MELVINS! whoa it's tonight....  and tomorrow!

say hi to the interview too!

aw come on.

the show tonight was fantastic.  i never realized that if you stay in the middle of the house, you can actually HEAR the vocals.
Your Blessened, HOGLEG and Let God Be Your Gardener really made the night for me.  hearing an eggnog song live was a truly amazing experience i never thought i'd enjoy.  and hogleg happens to be -THE- single song that made me love the melvins.  i've said it before: my friend put it on full volume and sat me next to the speaker instructing me to pretend i was experiencing it live....almost seven years later the same friend and i got to hear it live.

so very, very junny :)

It's funnier to me thinking that 7 years is a long time.  I've been following the Melvins since 1990 or 1991.  It's strange to think it's been that goddamn long.  Talk about long rides...........

i was actually thinking the same thing at the show.  i was looking around at all the people and wondering for how many this was a first melvins experience and how when they look back in 5 years or so it'll seem like a while ago and the shows in 5 years will be so different than when they "first got into them" and it'll feel so classic, while to me their shows seem strangely too-modern now and i crave the more classic experiences of 2000.  but i realize that when i first saw them there were veterans there at the time that felt the same way about me.  i guess it's just a basic example of relativism and the continuity of time.  except for the original fans.....that's a whole different story.  being there from day one until now.. that is quite an experience.  (i think it may be a little sad)

yeah i remember them as all fucked up on drugs and such. now they're a tightly wound machine run in a way that most bands should look up to. interview.

That is junny as hell Idle. I am glad they are still together, it just usually does not happen that a band stays together so long. I first saw them in 1986 and had no idea at the time I would be following them in 2007. Bizarre. Same old guys though, but what they have been through and seen since then, holy shit.
