I would not be surprised to see it go for $120 and up.

Also, another heads-up;  Amoeba Records in L.A. have a copy of (a) Senile Animal on blue wax for $80.  This won't last at that price.  Not sure if it's available on amoeba.com (free shipping) or not...

HAD...

Thanks! Been waiting for a decent deal on this one.... It's one of my favorites!!

i've pretty much come to the realization that i will never own Shit Sandwich. I was working today, set an alarm to remind my myself 5 mins before the auction ended. Went outside to place a mobile bid with 90 seconds left, couldn't connect to ebay, auction ends and shit sandwich sells for $162  :microwave:
most pissed i've been in a while, for a fucking 7" with nothing on it.
Thanks ATT, and thanks Melvins for making me a complete fuck-tard, chasing every Tchotchke you ever released
Maybe its for the best, keep saving that money.

Oh well

Nice story Camaroballa....shit sandwich is your white whale! One day you will be surprised and get it way cheaper than you thought you'd ever get it for.  Hang in there!

I know this is a long shot but anyone have a BSM Mackie cover they wanna trade? I have the Coop version I'd be willing to trade plus some extra cash or record(s) to make it worth your while. (Disclaimer: The Coop version is awesome and I love it, I just want the Mackie one more and am usually a 1 variant type a guy)
Los ticka toe rest

That was cheap, as it happens.

It's just the power of suggestion.  A lot of Melvins fans think that this wreckord is something very special.  I disagree.  It was meant to be a joke.  Get it?

Does anyone here have:  It's Shoved/Forgotten Principles and/or Way of the World/Theme  they want to sell?  I am missing these two from the 1-12 Singles released.

On rare occasion, I have found reasonably priced items in my wantlist here:  http://www.gemm.com/browse/  Warning:  They are usually overpriced.  I reckon that GEMM takes a huge chunk of the sellers profits...

yeah so i didnt score that shit sandwich however, i got this on ebay for $85.

then i turned it into that with a hair dryer, goo gone, pair of tweezers. It came out perfectly, NO tears to the sleeve and NO glue residue.

I tried getting the black magic marker off the spine, and it wasn't working. I could care less about lysol on the spine though.

if anyone needs some help with theirs ill gladly post my instructions.

Wow!  I've heard of this.  I have no marker on my spine, either.  Do you think it would work after all these years?  I used steam on a Beatles Butchered Babies and that was so gratifying!!  I know for sure that it won't work on my Velvet Underground & Nico Mono Torso w/ sticker.  In some way, I like the fact that there is evidence of a banned substance there...

Did that Goo Gone change the gloss on the jacket?  I realize that it's not laminated per se, but I think you know what I mean...

the "goo gone" is a much safer product to use than "goof off." Goof off is almost straight up lighter fluid, very potent and would have stained the jacket on contact.

I first used the hair dryer to heat up the glue, get that tape pliable again and so it wont tear off the paper with it. I did that for about 60 seconds.

Second step is to start picking at one corner with a finger nail. I didnt use the tweezers to pick at the corner, i was afraid of the tweezers ripping or slicing the stock. (If I had starting picking at a corner and saw some of the stock being torn, i would have went to another corner. That way, if the stock started to tear I would have left that "tearing" corner for last and hopefully only ripped off a tiny piece of the cardboard stock) I had to be quick with this step cus i didnt want that tape dropping in temperature. Need to keep the adhesive hot.
Once a small portion of the corner was up, I went back to the dryer. Using fingers only again, I started to peel slowly while pointing the dryer at the next part of the tape that was being pulled off.
Now the temperature from the dryer is going to start to become unbearable. I now switched to the tweezers to hold the tape as i uncover the letter L in lysol.
I just kept pulling down on the tape mm by mm, very slowly. I made it to the O and now the temperature was getting really unbearable. I turned off the dryer for the last L, and i started to notice that some glue residue was leftover, probably cus i ditched the dryer at that point.

At that point I was jumping for joy! No tears on the jackets cardboard stock! A completely perfect "lysol."Ive seen so many censored lysol's with torn jackets from people just trying to rip off the sticker.

Now onto the last steps with the goo gone. I sprayed a little on the tip of my finger, less than a drop. Like put a drop on your finger tip and let the drop fall onto the floor. I rubbed it on the spot that had some glue residue. I quickly got a tissue and removed the excess goo gone. Now it will look like there is a grease stain. I also had a dampened paper towel with water with me. Take a paper towel, wet it, then wring the hell out of it. Take your finger wrap the towel around it. Clean the grease spot the goo gone has left. It comes right off. Then take another dry tissue to get the water off. Then buff away with another dry tissue. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

The only down side i incurred was that the jacket, when you look at it flat on its side, is a little warped. I guess the heat warped the cardboard. I framed mine, so hopefully it will flatten out over time. If it doesn't it really doesn't matter cus you can't tell its warped inside the frame.

I'm super happy with the results and I now have a Melvins holy grail.
albeit a "3rd state" Lysol, not a true "1st state" though.
I'm a huge Beatles fan too, so I definitely compare Lysol to the Beatles butcher cover, lol. 1st state no tape, 2nd state with tape, and 3rd state with tape removed.

Glad to bring the first proper and successful Melvins Lysol "3rd state" to the boards. I hope someone else gives it a try, i would love to see the results.
