my track is coming a long nicely. it might be a while still cuz i want it to mixed as perfect as i can.

but my main reason for bumping this thread up is the thought of the art work., it just dawned on me that we have a melvins bbs member art thread. maybe we could get something from some one here?
Sounds good.

something new for the tribute.

i for one would like to know more about the artist whom recorded the contributions, as far as why they chose it, how they recorded it, who played what etc...nerdy shit.

so here;s what were gonna do. if you contributed to the comp and can take the time to type a quick or long bio about your song maybe PM it to Idle or send it to the myspace profile. not page 2 but the original.

like Jaron's version of Oven for example, do Jaron play everything or does he have a band ? shit like that.

Idle will then at it as a blog or create one continuous blog containing all entries. think of it as a dvd extra or even just as a liner note.

Great. No rush, im not as desperate as i seem.

Also those tracks were cool - i havent listened to all of them yet but really enjoyed the ones off Stoner Witch.

That version of Eye Flys sounds great MAR.
Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt.

Centripetal core of soul sojourn the field vibrates to absolution. I climb toward the sun to breathe the universal.

Have you seen the bridge?  I ain't seen the bridge!  Where's that confounded bridge?!

Stooges

I loved how you stripped the song of its heaviness while still retaining its eery quality. Great job!

any vocalist that want to be involved with this thread should let it be known.

im sure you would only need a good not ok but good microphone.
and a program to record it and be able to save as wave files.

and also be ready to send a sample of the direction your voice takes.

i might be looking for one right now.

I is vocalist. I have all the necessary eqvipment. I did the vox on Queen and Goose Freight Train.

What track did you have in mind?

MAR: Nice work on Eye Flys, mang. I like the downbeat approach to that song. Truly orginal.
