The SST '80s catalog is a different story. I would so love to see all the Black Flag CDs remastered. The vinyl sounds better. Ginn's too lazy and cheap to do it though. If only Rollins had control of that stuff.

Agreed.  SST did an awful job with their CDs.  Hell, Ginn didn't even bother to put some of the catalogue on CD at all (Saccharine Trust's Surviving You Always).
And others can say what they want about Rollins, but he has done some AMAZING work getting out of print music back in print and paying the artists better than the original labels ever did.  People just don't understand how valuable he's been to keeping a lot of great music in print.

ReMaster/cover Bullhead. Other than that, meh.

I want b-side comps, I want cover albums, I want live shit, I want DVD's. I want info on past Melvins dealings.
Truly.

Hell yes Pinkyslim!!!!!!!  That record is awesome.  Criminaly underrated band from the early SST days.  Absolutely should still be in print.
The only difference is that Saccharine Trust still plays live.  And they are extremely relevant.  They are still amazing live, still write new material... I really can't believe a label doesn't help out Saccharine Trust.  I wish other bands would reach out to them.  Hell, I think they would be perfect for Ipecac.   They are so important in LA.  Joe Baiza and Jack Brewer are heroes.  No one seems to care.

I like the way lysol sounded...i dont see anything wrong with that album.... bullhead sounds great but it is a little quiet... i would like to hear a remastered bullhead and ozma for sure.
Maybe their going to do an electro retard kind of thing and just re-record the songs and play them in a different aspect? I think that would be really cool.

I'll only buy the  Melvins (Boner) CDs again if there are bonus tracks, same with the Jesus Lizard. The CDs sound fine. Whey does everyone think LOUDER is better. If I want to hear more bass, I'll turn the bass up. Tool's CDs are a perfect example of this bad trend in how CDs sound today.

The dynamics are there on the current CDs of say Bullhead & Goat. I just hate hw new CDs are mastered with too much low end. I was just listening today to Clutch - Pitchfork, and it doesn't sound right, like they just jacked all the levels up too much.

I am not saying the only reason to remaster the tjl stuff is to make it louder (which comes with a whole set of preconceptions about what one means  by loud) and I seriously doubt that Steve Albini is going to be fucking with the feel of those albums that much, but just wait till they are remastered,  give side by side listens and tell me which one sounds better.  I will almost guarantee these tjl albums will sound better after they have been newly remastered.   I am prepared to admit I was wrong if they sound like shit.

I bought this Faith No More best of album once because it had a "Remastered" sticker on it. The bloody thing had extra keyboard trumpets in Easy and that was about the only difference.

Please...no keyboard trumpet sound effects in Lysol!  [-o<

All MELVINS past releases other than ALIVE at the FUCKER CLUB are etched in my mind as masterpieces.
When I am crankin' OZMA, the whole sludge low end vibe is close to my heart.
I am always cautious new and improved is USUALLY slick and processed. [-(

The only REMASTERS I find valuable is the mighty LED ZEPPELIN 8)
