Whats Modesto california like??? i was thinking about going to that show, or another california show... Any suggestions as to what california show i should check out??

You should go to the Great Lakes Brewing Company.  That's only 2.5 miles away. My buddy works there and could give you the hookup on some beers if you planned on staying the night and whooping it up a bit. They have some great tasting beer.

I am a bit of a beer snob and I completely recommend that company(not that my opinion means much to anyone ) The ones that I would recommend are Conways Irish Ale, Blackout Stout(three twelve ounce beers will get you feeling real nice..REAL strong), Eliot Ness(my favorite) and Dortmunder Gold. The only beer they make that I am not a fan of is the Burning River. Aside from that, you really can't go wrong with any of their beers.

I live about 1hour 45mins. from Modesto, just wondering why they chose that location.  I heard 1 in 5 houses are meth labs, but cannot confirm sources.
