i still think that the current melvins line-up is the best to date. both albums are equal to one another in the best way possible.
Word up!

We should all admit it that NWB is not that great.  It's a b-side album.  The Melvins need to step up their game on the next album.

I'm always amazed at peoples reactions to new Melvins albums.  It's no detraction to anyone's opinion, but I never seem to agree with most people's opinion on new records.  I'm just surprised when I see people expect their new albums to sound like something.   It's not going to happen.
WELL SAID IDLE!!  their new albums always amaze me at how variable their sounds are!   I am gonna have to go with ASA for my pick.  history of bad men live is  so bad ass live!! not as cool as boris though.. hearing that live was a life changing experience!

Agreed. But I'm not complaining, it's still new material. But I hope you're right about next album.

It's like the Crybaby album. Yes there's a few interesting songs on there, but as a whole - it's not solid and won't hold your interest and doesn't flow like other albums do.

To each their own really. That's what's so great about a 25 year old band I guess. Everyone's got their own favorites.

You lose any credibility with that statement.  The album sounds like a bunch of b sides.  There's no flow.  It's nowhere close to Bullhead, Houdini, Lysol, or even ASA.

Flush on NWB reminds me of the middle part of Drain You with the skweeky rat sounds.  :P
