The Wipers were a punk rock group from Portland, Oregon.
They were formed in 1977 by guitarist Greg Sage, drummer Sam Henry and bassist Dave Koupal.
They have often been cited as huge influences on the grunge movement.
Their second album, Youth of America, was released in 1981.
