Finally someone speaking MY language!

this is a tough one.

No means No and jello would be cool enough alone..

I gotta think here, uh...

Throbbing Gristle, for one.

I dunno, MY band? hah...

jesus this is tough, hard to say...so many degrees of separation in the fan base..there would be a total bloodthirsty RIOT!

Helmet...definetly...already been done though.

you need something outta left field, a curveball no one would welcome...

like Neil Hamburger would be a start!

sleepytime Gorilla Museum!~ that would work I think.

I'd just like to see the Melvins period! It's a rare sight to see them this side of the equator.

However to be on topic. Cows + Melvins.

Well a Melvins Double set. Guest appearance by Kevin to play some HAT + trilogy + Stag for the first set then the second set the new album + ASA.

However I think I have more of a chance to win the Lotto by FAR.....so I'd probably prefer that option.

yeah, but we all know why you won't be seeing melvins w/ acid kind don't wee?

I liked what Trey Spruance said about when the melvins got booed off or something..or they mr. bungle crowd were being really shitty to them, so mr. bungle just down tuned everything 3 quarters of an octave and played one note for like a whole hour or something...

best melvins Homage EVER! ~

Legendary Shack Shakers -  I saw them last month. Was talking with drummer Brett when I bought the CD. He complimented my Melvins shirt and said that they are hoping to tour with Melvins soon when their schedules allow. I think I said something like "I'll probably shit myself".
With Duane as a full timer in LSS, this is bound to happen.

Yea, as of late they played ATP with them in 08, then a few dates in California.  I'd be all for it though.  As much as I love getting the Melvins only for their shows, you couldn't go wrong with Melvins/BHS.

The Melvins would have to headline though. I take it from some of my trusted sources that it was pretty rough watching the Buttholes do their thing after a standard, blisteringly killer and beautiful Melvins set. I went to the show as well but I wasn't able ( 8-[ ) to stay. Not that I heard the Butthole Surfers were bad live but I would prefer...more than anything...to end the night with the Melvins ringing in my ears. They probably wont play shows together again but I fully support the BHS supporting the Melvins on a full tour.

With that said. I wouldn't mind WHO plays with the Melvins. I mean...it's the fucking Melvins. You can't really go wrong...and despite the "crowd" it was even great seeing them open for Down. The ticket was a little bit pricier and I was literally only in the venue for the hour the Melvins played but nonetheless it was a great experience.

Though I really liked the BB opening act shows a lot. With Porn too. Those shows kicked ass! And I still want to see the Melvins cover some more BB stuff besides Another 4th...

I'd like to see a Melvins concert with Seamus Ennis playing two or three minutes of pipes as an introduction to every new song. Starfish (TX) got away with it on their 'Frustrated' LP and Neurosis make me cry and shout when they tried it on  'Through Silver In Blood'. Uilleann pipes and Melvins? YEAH!

This would be the greatest fucking thing EVER!!! LSS are absolutely fantastic. The only thing I can think of that would be more appealing would be TJL and Melvins.

You are going to enjoy yourself, sir. I caught them last june at this small bar in Minneapolis. I stood right in front of Denison's monitor and watched him kick total ass. That band is outstanding.

i saw them 4/5 years ago or so and that show totally ruled. i remember it was a free show and that i didn't expect much so you can imagine how much ass it kicked --- probably had  a giant grin on my face all night long, that's how much fun i had.

The Legendary Shack Shakers "Iron Lung Umpa" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AUuecK-GTo#)

Garth Frogpoison and I once joked about the perfect gig one night. We both decided it would be Godflesh and Melvins.

We stopped laughing two years later, however, when it actually happened.

God, it was lovely.

I never knew that either.  I'd sacrifice my neighbours cat to see Godflesh and Melvins together.  I hope Godflesh do a full tour and not just the french date.  Why should the french get to see them and we can't and then they have the audacity to knock Ireland out of the world cup.

Didnt Buzz say that they would like to tour with Sonic Youth and Napalm Death since all three bands started up around the same time and have never thrown in the towel, still making new music. That would be a cool show. Well as long as Melvins headlined of course!

But then you would have to sit through Sonic Youth.

I never used to like him, but I'd like to see the melvins tour with Aphex twin. I just recently listened to his discography in chronological order and I have a new found appreciation for his work. It'd be neat to see him open for the melvins with some of his more ambient works and have them follow with some of theirs.

He has played and recorded with Sonic Youth as well. His sound can be a  monster. Damn, you're right.

Quote from: http://www.partchimp.com/news.htmlupdate 17-01-11 - Some rumours started making the rounds about Part Chimp coming to an end. They're true, but it's not an immediate thing. We all get on fine and enjoy what we're doing but it's been 10yrs (as of April 2011) and it's time to think about new things.

We're going to organise a final tour and some special shows - maybe even try and get a bit further afield to the US. There's also the possibility of another release, maybe an ep or possibly more.

I'd love to see a Melvins/Converge co-headlining tour. I think that would be pretty great plus it might actually finally turn a few of you guys onto Converge at last! I can imagine both bands getting along really well and it would be interesting to see if they would do any work together post-tour. Get Jacob screaming on a few new Melvins songs or have Kurt record a Melvins album at God City or something.

I was just thinking about this the other day.

Easy Action(Saw them once, in '17 opening for Dino Jr. Outstanding, underrated band. It's the same lineup as the current Negative Approach. I would settle with N/A also, but would much rather have EA because they don't play out that much, they're just better.
Pissed Jeans (I know they don't tour much and play sporadic shows here and there)
mssv (Baggetta/Watt/Hodges)
Reverend Horton Heat (been awhile, like 30 yrs since they were on the bill with White Zombie)
Acid Mothers Temple (alternate opener/headliner each night)
Clutch (if Melvins wanted an easy opening slot)

I would love to see the Melvins with Shudder to Think. I'm a huge fan and have especially followed Craig throughout his later career. But the sound of Nathan Larson soloing against Buzz and Dale sounds absolutely amazing in my head.

I think Roddy Bottom (Faith No More, Imperial Teen) would be an awesome guest. Maybe they can commiserate about Patton as a bandmate?

Trey Spruance/Secret Chiefs 3, of course. (Though we wouldn't hear it for twenty years while Trey tinkers.)

King Gizzard is the one that seems like it could actually happen.

The Melvins opening for The Mark of Cain would be an awesome sonic barrage. A shame Stanier's no longer in the band but Eli Green does a fine job on drums.
