The Scion part is weird. Have MELVINS sold out?
There was a Scion remix thing for Boris a while back, they did remixes of BUZZ-IN if I recall correctly. I only saw it available on iTunes.

:? Seems like overkill.
the track does have remix potential.
sans techno.
Scion sponsored a show with the melvins at..I think..sxsw, a few years ago..with boris? I'll have to check. Scion does a lot of things with metal/rock concerts, dealing with bands the mainstream usually ignores. I think I saw them associated with a Morbid Angel show a while back.

- Like the Lovelock sample a lot.
- MRK 1 sounds OK.
- Doorly is promising...to early to tell.
- J Phlip sounds craptastic.

It's all too awful for words. I'm afraid my mind hasn't been opened to appreciate this kind of thing.
Lame.
No time for waterdowned MELVINS.
These remixes are butthole.

their time sitting on their arses.

I think Wagterdown is a German word for either, a) drowning a Volkswagen or, b) burning a lot of Wagner LPs. In a Melvins context it obviously means Fucking About With Guitars To Make Them Sound Like Shit.
The Lovelock sample has a little DEVO feel to it.
I think the samples sound promising, I'd rather have talented techno and dubstep producers trying to build a groove from a melvins song and seeing other stylistic directions they can take the track instead of some of the pretentious shit that was on Chicken Switch. That Lee Ronaldo track was an absolute joke it just seemed so badly put together with no thought put into it whatsoever. At least on this EP we're going to get something different to what we'd expect from listening to a Melvins track from producers that are extremely talented in their field.

Mr. Chucker, you sir are a wordsmith to the utmost degree. You so succinctly verbalized your opinion masterfully. I agree with you whole-heartedly, and only wish that I could express myself half as eloquently as you, dear man.

what? just becuase you have a madball for an avatar you think you can get away with being all sarcastic and crap?
okay, so having a madball for an avatar
does give you all rights and privledges to be sarcastic.
PS: whats with the techno?
Techno, what do you mean? Honestly the phrase "These remixes are butthole." for some reason makes me laugh uncontrollably and have since reading said quote, tried to inject the word butthole as an adjective in my everyday speech. :D Thanks CC, you da man (great pic too)!

I think it's called expanding your fan base. ( remixes,down,fantomas,primus,rush,folk implosion,jello,etc.)
Yea, and as I recall this crap didn't work back in the 80's either ( think Sandinista by the Clash) unless you were stoned to bone! There have only been a handful of remixes made that merit a 2nd listening.

is it just me or is this not remixing?
I mean.. they basically just made an entirely new song besides a few vocal tracks in some instances. I was of the understanding you remixed the originally recorded material.
This shit is totally weak compared to Chicken Switch. I listened to these mixes a couple times and then they went right into the digital garbage can
I think the Lovelock remix is good. All the other ones are pretty terrible and I thought all of Chicken Switch was pretty terrible too.
the MRK 1 remix is pretty grimey, I must say!
No more remixes, for fucks sake! =;
"if it aint broke dont fix it" thats what i think of remixes
I couldn't keep a straight face at any of these remixes, especially that MRK 1 one
Makineros hijos de puta.
I have excellent news for the world. There is no such thing as remixes. It does not exist. Its uh...It's a.....figment of a lame cunt's imagination.
