I think Wagterdown is a German word for either, a) drowning a Volkswagen or,  b) burning a lot of Wagner LPs. In a Melvins context it obviously means Fucking About With Guitars To Make Them Sound Like Shit.

I think the samples sound promising, I'd rather have talented techno and dubstep producers trying to build a groove from a melvins song and seeing other stylistic directions they can take the track instead of some of the pretentious shit that was on Chicken Switch. That Lee Ronaldo track was an absolute joke it just seemed so badly put together with no thought put into it whatsoever. At least on this EP we're going to get something different to what we'd expect from listening to a Melvins track from producers that are extremely talented in their field.

Techno, what do you mean?  Honestly the phrase "These remixes are butthole." for some reason makes me laugh uncontrollably and have since reading said quote, tried to inject the word butthole as an adjective in my everyday speech.   Thanks CC, you da man (great pic too)!

I think it's called expanding your fan base. ( remixes,down,fantomas,primus,rush,folk implosion,jello,etc.)

Yea, and as I recall this crap didn't work back in the 80's either ( think Sandinista by the Clash) unless you were stoned to bone!  There have only been a handful of remixes made that merit a 2nd listening.
