A friend of mine is doing an interview with Dale, anyone got anything they need answered, now's yr time.
ask him about Altamont, when a new album? after that, what's about Porn?
hmmmmmmmm...........
hows the kids?
exactly what was that roto tom lookin thing he used to play?
Find out why he likes Lu Lu
WHY the BIG DRUMS!>!> ask about the GIANT crashes and his early Influences/Drumming Techniques.
(we can tell he loved to play them all day long when he first went and bought them, and Buzz never held him back from carrying on at the end of Bullhead, sounds like he LOVED to horse around and we think It's Great!)
Ask him how busy Deaf Nephews is keeping him and what bands has he worked with and what bands want to work with him. Here's a picture of him doing some overdubs for a band named Indian Handcrafts that I will check out because of Dale.

check this stuff guys, dale's on drums

Here's a question I always wanted answered: Why did Porn go from a powerful live band with one of the greatest recordings, Wine, Women and Song, and then devolve into what seemed like a group of guys not taking the band seriously? especially during later live sets.
is the other melvins lite album also gonna be released this year? because they had about 50 songs for it.
what happened to the recordings with jason newstadt and devin townsend?
Is that real?
yeah it was called 'tree of the sun'. it's on google :-)

Who's your favorite Zappa drummer? (My guess would be Jimmy Carl Black for his awesome simplicity)
also:
Billy Stevenson or Robo?
Bill Bruford or Neil Peart?
John Bonham or Bill Ward?
Elvin Jones or Tony Williams?
Keith moon! :D

I hope im wrong but i imagine probably not. How they speak of things it makes me think everything will be download only or on singles or split releases or EP's from now on. Unfortunately i think their time of regular albums comes to a close with Freak Puke.
Yeah, you're probably right. :( This would be a good subject to ask Dale about too.
Here's some questions I would ask:
-How were you introduced to ribbon crashers and Pete Englehart's line of metallic instruments?
-I've noticed in recent live youtube videos Dale doing the "gravity blast" one handed roll on his snare drum. When did he learn to do that?
-Will there be a new Altamont record? Does he have any songs written or in the works?
-Are Melvins done with full length studio albums after Freak Puke?
-How is his hearing these days, and how has he protected his ears, throughout all the years of heavy pounding with heavy sticks on heavy drums, crashing on ride cymbals, etc. Does he have any hearing problems as a result?
-Favorite horror movies?
-If he hadn't had pursued music, what would his career path had been?
-Has he ever posted on the melvins.net?
-What other Melvins albums would he like to perform live with the band, other than the albums played during the residency shows?
-Any plans on playing Hospital Up, Inhumanity and Death, I'll Finish You Off, or PG x 3 live?
-What would his advice be to a young drummer today hoping to make a career playing in a band?
-Any plans on recording with Lustmord again?
Here's another one: Does he have any pets?
can you ask dale if he uses the ribbon crasher I gave him at the 2006 vancouver, canada show?
I like metalhead cows q's about the ribbon crasher as well.
would you like fries with that?
Any fantomas news?
Will Ozma ever get remastered? (oh please, oh please!)
Ever had a scary encounter with a psycho fan? (not that there are any here)
I like parenth's favorite Nirvana song quiry.
Fantomas are working on a new album. I know the details but cannot reveal anymore than that. I am good friends with Husky Huskolds who engineers for Mike Patton.

I once read that he masters his own recordings. That is something few people can do well, and he does it beautifully.

I thought about bringing one of my ribbon crashers to one of the Boston shows last year, just in case I got the opportunity to meet Dale and ask him to sign it. It just wasn't realistic. I'm just going to be standing there, holding a ribbon crasher for the whole show, while rocking out? It wouldn't fit in my pockets either.

Husky does amazing work. I really wish that I could speak of the details that I know regarding the new Fantomas. Let me just say the concept and execution of this record is something that will be amazing.
Here are the things about the new Fantomas recordings that I do NOT know:
1. When it will be recorded or released
2. Whether Dale or Dave will be drumming
Quote from: sadcorps on April 03, 2012, 10:36:05 AMLet me just say the concept and execution of this record is something that will be amazing.
Is it Mike Patton farting onto a hi-hat? It's Patton farting onto a hi-hat, isn't it? I so would buy that.
I'd buy it, too. Has anyone here seen that FNM reunion video of Patton swallowing a shoe lace and singing with it down his throat and then vomiting it back up? What a man. What. A. Man.
I'm willing to bet Dave will be on drums. As much as I love Dale, it's really not Fantomas without Dave.....
If they duel, it might be different. Dale drums a bit faster when he's rocking with Coady.
New Fantomas is something I've been wanting for a long, long time. I hope it happens very soon.

Realizing that this interview has already happened I wish someone would ask either Buzz or Dale about the possibility of DVD releases in the future. Seems to me like Melvins should have a DVD on par with Butthole Surfers Blind Eye Sees All or the Jesus Lizard DVD that came out a few years ago. Salad of a Thousand Delights is still it, as far as I know.
I would also like to ask Buzz and/or Dale about whether or not they would be interested in composing music for a film.
