anyone have a link or a download available? pritty plisssss :D
At the time, I felt that the show I saw on the 2004 tour had some interestingly heavy vibes. Kevin seemed weirder than usual, and I remember Buzz seeming angry. Of course I could have been wrong and he was as happy as a pig in mud, but after Kevin left it didn't feel like a coincidence. They played a brutally slow version of The Fool, which still kills me when I watch a show from that tour, and the Porte songs compressed time and space. The end of one the greatest trios to have walked the earth.

Shit happened, guys got arrested, Melvins said they're never playing New Orleans again, it was a fucking mess oh God.

This was the one and only tour I've missed since Houdini. They kicked Kevin out before they made it to where I lived. I was so fucking bummed because I was heavy into POTRE and wanted so bad to see them play that stuff live. Granted I have now but not with Kevin. :(

I don't think Kevin has had a "last" show with the band yet. I think he will return in some form at some point!

I agree with every word in this post.
Glen 'The Psychic' knew something was 'going on' with Kevin right before he left the band. I was amazed.

I had tickets for that New Orleans show, the day after I saw them in Memphis, but had to cancel because of family emergency. I would've told that family member to SHOVE IT and walk it off if I had known that would be the last performance.
Is that a "ring for service" type bell taped to Kevin's bass??

There's only 24 hours in a day, Meez. We know you have a job, wife and kid. Do you not sleep? Serious question, how do you find the time to scour this BBS in the way you do? I find that I can make it about 15-20 minutes at the most before my attention is needed somewhere else.

Thanks for your concern, everyone. I do spend too much time here, but I don't work with people, in an office, or on the computer or phone. I feel that if I did any of those things, I couldn't stand this place as much as I currently do. I just need something to think about to pass the hours away. Plus, I didn't discover this place until a couple of years ago. What were we talking about? There's already a thread about this. Knock yourselves out. :disagree:

Nah. I like the picture. It sums it up enough for me! That's what I did the last time they played inside I only got some stuff to put on Instagram. I'd rather watch the show than worrying about getting a good video. Although if I can I sometimes will film just one song especially if it's the first time seeing the band.
Holy, karp. Found a still shot with a date which lead me to the search. The sound is really bad - I have my headphones on and it's really only working in my right ear and it's super choppy. Too bad. This is pure raw. Despite the sound it's still one of the coolest live Melvins videos I have ever seen. Buzzo definitely took his vitamins that day.

Cool! Not surprising. I'm going through audio discs from past live shows. I have one from that tour from Moorehead, MN about a week before this was shot. (edit - it's a DVD :o) ) !! I can agree with BroHammer that the bad sounds gives it an extra charm but it would also be cool to redub if possible. It's just too good.

I would like to see more video of that tour. That was my first time seeing them after I moved to Minneapolis. That was the first time I had ever seen Kevin. I remember he had his head shaved weird and a bloody bandage around his shin. It was very surreal.

Goddammit JUDY. Now I'm starting to feel a bit of an obsession coming on.
The whole thing is great except the part where it ends. It really captures those few shows that you happen to catch where the band is just hot. Any band. I can't say I've even seen the King get that crazy, although in those days I was always kinda wasted and rocking out in the "pit". "Moshing" they called it (it's an Anthrax thing). I know, I know. So there could have very well been a show like that but I was to busy getting my young adult angst out. I don't know though. If I saw Buzz doing that today I would probably go primal.
I like Kevins little addition to the intro too on It's Shoved. 8)
My favorite Kevin experience (besides Bash this year) was the '99 tour when they played my little bar in Spokane. Sat and bullshitted with him for a good long time. Of course me being a dumb young metal head I asked him about recording with Kevin Sharp and he told me he was a giant sweetheart which I also experienced when Brutal Truth stayed at my place many years later.
So happy I got to see him play with Melvins quite a few times and seeing Cowz and Hep at Bash was beyond awesome. The best was probably when I saw Melvins and Cows back to back at Lollapalloza '96.

Yeah I missed out on the Cows in my yoot. Kevin first intro to me was with the Melvins. You got me thinking now...maybe my first Melvins show in MPLS was '99. Hmmmmmm.
Also, I can totally see Kevin Sharp being a big teddy bear.

Well, Mr Luck did a fine, fine job. What a Lucky guy to have seen that in person!! That would be really great if he wanted to try for a re-up but it's not really necessary. I wonder what the heck he recorded it on? One of those little mini-tapes or a VHS? Hmmm...
