These Houdini shirts really are shit quality. It looked nice out of the bag.
I washed mine for the second time and the yellow is already cracking off the front. :x I always throw concert T-s in the dryer for 15 minutes to get the lint off and they're fine. Never had one crack and wear like this.

i died laughing at this.

i bought the octopus shirt.  i really wanted the houdini shirt but i'm not going to wear a shirt that says, "pussy" over an image of a cat.  i've always really hated it when people make pussy jokes about cats.
i knew this sleazy guy in college who once asked my roommate after she got a new cat if she needed any help taking care of her pussy.  he thought it was very slick.

also, i wish melvins sold other color shirts... black shirts with band logos make me look really funny, inexplicably.  i put them on and i look cross-eyed or something, i don't know.  i have the white happy halloween shirt but it's too big for me, like every other melvins shirt damnit!

You should just eat more and put on loads of weight just so that shirt fits. It'd be worth it in the long run.

However, the Boris 'Pink' shirt I bought earlier this year is stretched out to a disappointing degree.

That's too bad. I remember I saw the shirt about a year ago in a store, and the quality of the print didn't look too great to me.

Would have liked it better also if it was completely pink.

Oops, I see now I misread your previous post, sorry.

Maybe it was made for the Japanese market?

I don't like tight shirts either, it outlines my tummy. But, I have some XL shirts that are just a bit too big. I ordered a t-shirt yesterday and went for the experience and picked an L.

My houdini shirt starts to wear off as well... there's already a small crack on the dogs tail.
I have lots of old shirts that are totally fucked up, but this one was brand new. Well, damn it.

True. I once made the mistake of wearing a Zappa tshirt I'd made to a screening of 200 Motels. I think I had about 80 guitar geeks ask me where I got it.

I had a pretty decent looking cashier at Fred Meyers ask me " What's the meaning of your shirt?" the other day.  I told her that it was a shirt of my favorite band, the Melvins, hoping that would spark some sort of longer conversation, concerning music, and whatnot.  All she had to say back was "Oh."

Damn.  Maybe I shoulda showed her the "Pussy" on the back.

So has anyone bought the Octopus shirt? If so, how is the quality? I want to get this shirt but don't want to have the design crack and look like crap after a couple of washes. Also, how are everyone's Houdini and Eggnog shirts holding up so far? Has the design got worse looking since they have probably been washed quite a few times by now?

So has anyone bought the Octopus shirt? If so, how is the quality? I want to get this shirt but don't want to have the design crack and look like crap after a couple of washes. Also, how are everyone's Houdini and Eggnog shirts holding up so far? Has the design got worse looking since they have probably been washed quite a few times by now?
i've got it and so far it's held up pretty well. it was the only one they had left on the (a)sa tour when they came here. and both my eggnog and houdini's are still in pretty good shape.
Yea, mine are doing well too.  About 10 washings so far, and no problems.

i've heard others say this too, but mine is still in great shape. although the fabric does seem a little thin.

Tag just says CinderBlock on one side, and Dress Accordingly on the other.  It's a 100% cotton, made in Mexico shirt

The Melvins skeleton shirt I have is literally disintigrating, but I've worn that one right out. I only bust that one out on laundry day, which sucks because I loved that shirt.

Has anyone bought anything from www.sickinc.com somewhat recently? I want to buy that Melvins Army shirt that they have listed but the site looks pretty crappy and untrustworthy. I don't want to get ripped off sending money to a company that is no longer around.

Don't waste your money. There used to be a link to them on the front page
here, but it was removed as of 2006 after complaints about people not
getting their merchandise, and not getting their money refunded.

Just looking at the site made me think that was the case. Thanks for confirming my suspicions, anaconda. That sucks though, because I want to get that shirt and the only one I have seen is on ebay going for 100.00....used :?

I bought a Mevins Army shirt from them a couple of years ago, but it took several months and some threatening emails to actually get it.

So yeah, "crappy and untrustworthy" is about right unfortunately.
