To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

Galvano

As I understand it Jason Newstead has A LOT of odd recordings with different people that he is now starting to put out on his own label.
I got this from an interview with him maby 6 months ago.
I really can't remember where.

Dr. Gonzo

someone said they respect jason newsted!

AHAAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHahahahahhahahaha!!

Jess

and why shouldn't they respect him dr. gonzo?  because he made music that you don't like?  well i would bet that if you ever put out an album he wouldn't like it.

The Piss-Machine

Has anyone heard the album that he did w/Voivod? Me likey what little Voivod I've heard, and am wondering what the Newsted brings to the table.

Dr. Gonzo

it's not a matter of his music...

It's a matter of him in the metallica videos constantly bitching and getting picked on... funny stuff

And then he joined Ozzy(Ew) and left after he had left metallica.

Another band I'm looking forward to hearing material from is the band with Kim Thayil and Alfredo Hernandez... that should be amazing.

what the hell? I haven't heard about this... can you direct me to some info?

Dr. Gonzo

my source, and the only one i know about is from a guitar world that came out like 2 or 3 months ago... It had top 100 metal or rock guitarists of all time. If you find Kim Thayil it said he's been off the radar since Soundgarden but we'll be hearing material in the future from his band with alfredo hernandez.
