show was two days ago so i'm a bit late on this but i've been busy, sorry. Melvins confirmed to be probably the best live band in modern music with the best drummers alive. you know the set list yet, i must say after those residency shows they can't disappoint on that because jared and coady learned the whole discography so they can put a lot of the older stuff in the set list. i was worried to miss this show due to my schedule at work but fortunately it didn't happen. got at the venue almost an hour before...during the car ride i got a call from a friend of mine who told me the show was sold out but fortunately i had the ticket yet. i hate sold out shows and i hate moshpit...first thing actually happened, about the mosh pit,the venue was so small that people couldn't move,so i was happy with that.

supporting band was a guy who played electronic music using some game boys..yes...the mini console from Nintendo for video games! don't tell me how he could do that..it sounded like techno music to me  :?,very lame and annoying but the guy seemed totally into it..not me and not my buddy honestly...we kept drinking beers and my friend had a couple of joint too (i don't smoke). we were front line and fortunately i had a good visual of Dale's kit, which is always cool for me

after the short break Tony from Totimoshi, also melvins roadie, started tuning Buzz's guitar and Jared bass...then Buzz came out with the mumu teeth and Jared was dressed with a yellow mumu...

they opened with Hung Bunny Roman Dog Bird and i had goosebumps and multiple boners...drums were as heavy as i expected to be. the set list in a melvins show flows very quick as you know...absolutely highlights of the night were Lysol stuff,Up The Dumper (AMAZING POP TUNE), Lizzy (not one of my favourite melvins songs but it sounded so great live),Talking Horse,Electric Flower (YES,I'M STARTING THINKING IT'S THE BEST SONG OFF TBSM),HOBM,It's Shoved,Ligature,At the fuckinng Stake (DAMN!!), Shevil (one of my favourite melvins songs). i'm probably missing something...not Dale&Coady though...i love drums and i love great drummers...as Buzz has always said if a drummer sucks so is the band and i couldn't agree more.when Dale started the Spread Eagle Beagle solo Buzz and Jared disappeared..it was like a break, with just drums...Coady did an insane solo and Dale stopped playing, just staring at him...then Coady did the same, was funny...i think they both have huge feeling and respect for each other. i've never seen them to have so much fun like with this line up,even though Buzz had no words for the whole night, you could see he was happy and proud of this line up. they left the stage after another drum solo,Dale said thanks...crowd seemed incredibly impressed with their performance.

after the show i talked a bit with Tony about Totimoshi, then i asked him if i could have Dale's drum sticks but he said no  :( :(. he gave me one of Jared picks though!

i'm posting now some pics and videos. i'm a bit embarassed to show them to erichka because i used falsh, and also i'm so bad taking pics.. videos are courtesy of my friend Matteo,so say thanks to him!

ps: had to buy a shirt because mine was totally wet and i didn't want to get sick...they had the happy hallowen bitches one, the nazi shirt and this other shirt with a bat and the following signature: "the melvins official stamp of authenticity"..i decided to get this one, because i hadn't seen it before.

also took a pic with Jared after the show

and three short videos

That made great reading, thanks! I always think of the aquila being a Roman eagle rather than a nazi one. I guess they copied it, though.

That venue looks great, too!

Electric Flower (YES,I'M STARTING THINKING IT'S THE BEST SONG OFF TBSM
That's cos it is!!

Great review there Stallion and despite your claims some cool snaps too, especially the Dale one's. Perfect spot you had there, right so you can see everything the Crover does. Yep those pair are total badasses aren't they. It's pretty mind blowing in that not only are they two utterly fantastic drummers but that they play in the SAME band!! Makes Kylesa (or any other two drum act) look pretty lame in comparison. Glad you enjoyed it.

yeah, honestly it's a different skill level. hard to think of two better drummers than Dale and Coady in rock music. i wish i'll get to see the Melvins with just Dale one more time before i die though,i'm jealous with all the american guys who saw the M. Lite shows.

Yeah it would be good to see him alone but its gotta be him going all out tho. With the Melvins Lite shows he played with more restraint cos of the quieter songs and the double bass. At least there's still Shrinebuilder for solo Dale action!  8)

thanks for your review stallion. it's cool to see how the reviews come together for almost every show.
also it was good to see that the melvins had almost sold out in geneva and zurich... i hope they are able to make some profit out of this tour...
