Allman Brothers and Royal Trux have 2 drummers. Will it all be like the monstermillenium thing? like when Crover and Lombardo had at it on the tandem kit.. is this good? bad? a novelty??

is it long term, just thoughts..

Don't forget Adam & The Ants and the Grateful Dead.
I guess I'll have to listen to Big Business again, I just couldn't get into it all.

this could be cool, the melvins morph into a percussive band like boredoms doing seadrum or new sun stuff hahaha, the melvins should go with three drummers like eye does, i think lustmord is seeping into buzz's tastes oddly enough, for the better maybe, we can only wait to hear and see the spectacle LIVE.

Alvin

If there were two Dale Crovers on two separate drum kits that would be cool, but aside from that I'm not sure. Maybe it would be cool.

Adam & the Ants fuckin SLAYED. I never saw them live, but on record, they took most advantage of having 2 drummers of any band I have heard. One exception may be Genesis on Seconds Out   I did see the Big Band a few years back, and Dale & Lombardo were amazing together. having 2 drummers can only mean good things for the Melvins. they never stop impressing me.

this is serious business here guys.  i don't want a tour of anyones chocolate factory please

Seconds Out is a really fantastic live album. Chester Thompson really stepped up there....isn't Bill Bruford on it too?

Andy

Acid Mothers Temple and the Cosmic Inferno had two drummers when I saw them. They were wank though. The Melvins will do much better I reckon.
For your health!

what does Big Business sound like?

I heard that Trail of Dead now have 2 drummers.  I don't know if they switch on and off who drums or if it is simultaneous.

Looking forward to what the new collaboration will sound like.  :)

After I read about this I decided to drive around and listen to that Big Business album that I downloaded a few months ago...I think I should listen to it more often.

I saw them a month ago. Basically they played simultaneously but there also was a rotation with other band members, I can remember that the singer/guitarist played drums once.
