So many completist on MELVINS stuff, curious if any of you guys have a preference on
Lps vs. cd's vs. singles, shirts, poster etc..

My priority is:
1.Cd's-got em all except the Australian Kozik.
2.Lps and box sets-need Lysol, live in Germany lp, POTRE lp, Endless ORANGE, ENdless test press.
3.singles- need Spit it out
4.weird toy/newsletter stuff-need Newsletter #4, Melvins meat, Melvins Foetus
5. Posters-have alot but do not really collect.
5.shirts..don't collect.

curious how other Melvin nerds feel. :)

What is it about Newsletter #4?  Did subscriptions run out before it was printed or something? Everyone I've spoken to about this needs #4. There's one on eBay at the moment.

Priorities are records and other official merch including shirts. God, I love their shirts.

Then CDs.

Don't collect posters, although if I see one I really like I'll have it.

(the) flutter nuts

i mostly am after vinyl, and the letterpress cd's. some posters are a must have but those are personal preference.
I got the shits real bad.

EvilNewWarGod

I only collect CDs and their wonderful shirts. I still need an Alive At The Fucker Club letterpress and a few of the singles I still don't have(Queen, Hooch, Honey Bucket, Lizzy and Leech assuming they are all on CD)
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.

For some reason I never got it or the vhs video. :x

1. Vinyl. Going back in black. Or colored. Whatever.
Still need Bullhead, Lysol, Houdini, and Stag without paying a fortune.
2. Shirts
3. Posters from shows I saw.
4. Manchild comics.
5. CDs. Cause vinyl doesn't travel well.

Beard

Whatever I can get my hands up here in the Great White North  :P

I've got 2 shirts like 5 CD's and 2 vinyl, one of which is a sealed NWB  :D

I personally just love the sound of vinyl in general. Give the choice, I'd take a regular black set of the endless residency set over the orange or even the Haze edition. (Granted the art in the Haze edition is amazing)For me it's frustrating finding a BSM for under $100 knowing lots of people have 10 copies and only listen to 1, but I get collecting them all for the love of the art. Pinky, I'd put Lysol at the top of your want list, I think it's one of my favorite albums and it's very unique. A very cool LP to own.

So my struggle is with BSM, would go up to $100 but dream of finding one for about $80 or so. Also Stag would be cool to own on vinyl but I heard the CD sounds way better from an audiophile type friend. He said
QuoteIt's way too long for a single Lp and it's pressed at really low volume with no dynamics and lots of vinyl noise/distortion.
....so I have trouble wanting to shell out any kind of cash for the LP, but I think its an amazing album and it's a shame I own all the other studio LPs except that one. Maybe one day I will get lucky on one of my record digging adventures....doubt it tho.
Los ticka toe rest

spunkmonkey

CDs, posters, and I almost always buy a tshirt at the show.

Do you or anyone else here know what was on that tape?

I need #4, too. I have nice printed copies of 1,2,3, & 5. They're copies of copies, but so were the 'originals' sent out.
Kind of funny and ironic, no?

Looks like someone has 1-5 + a bunch of other goodies on Ebay right now

my single collection is beginning to gain steam.  and not by design.   I just can't ever say no to an opportunity.
