I think that I hear an electrified sitar on the intro to *The Bit* from the CD Stag. I guess that it is effective because it is not the Melvin's usual choice for an instrument.
Have never heard a sitar played like that before. When will King Buzzo turn to a nylon string acoustic guitar ?
This is looking like a lame post, but I am new on this forum & discovered that I cannot delete it.

(the) flutter nuts

i'm pretty sure in the credits in the booklet it says Dale plays the sitar
I got the shits real bad.

Not at all, I just love the Album section. It's a fantastic place where everyone discusses things about the albums.
In fact I was just there reading about The Bootlicker and a song a called Prig that I am pretty sure Buzz played acoustic guitar on.

Buzz Played an acoustic on another song as well, much, much earlier than Stag.

theres a Lot more in Prig than just acoustic guitar.

The beggining segment is mind-warpingingly Brilliant. (Reminds me of Porg From the Buzzo Solo Ep.)

and I think the entire Thing is Remanescant of a pink floyd album.

Dont forget about the Moog Synths and Tracks with Keyboards, Who does all the Tape manipulation stuff from back in the day from the Singles 1-12 Era.

today at breakfast I zoned out and was thinking about the Throbbing Gristle Tribute Track from the In-formation TG Tribute CD.

Honky Really Accumulated a lot of different elements off Stag and went off into a different place even stranger still.

Theres plenty of Circuit bent stuff on Pigs of the Roman Empire and Hostile Ambient Takeover is another great Achievement in the feild of Heavy noise music. I really think this album should be considered a noise peice, the more and more I research about What noise IS and what sound is etc..

The Trilogy is by far, that which seperated the melvins a step beyond, what most bands can acheive in a span of around two Decades. they ran and ran, and Ran, and then they Ran some more.

The last 10 years went by too fast.

its hard to imagine How long ago it all happened.

1st half of Prig sounds like The Residents ... 2nd half like Floyd.

An ode to to the late, great Timmy Taylor of Brainiac? Hmmm? Ya know, Hissing Prigs an' all? That's always been my take anyway ...

Oh yeah, and some acoustic guitar in there too ... good shit.

Does Buzz play an acoustic guitar in Black Bock?  Or is it just clean electric?

But it sounds fine on acoustic.
