Soooo tired of that guitar tone.

explain yourself!
I'm soooo tired of the guitar tone heard on this song and on nearly every Melvins song of the last six years.

Those vocals are great.

Yeah, they are. John Lydon will be proud of him.

A lot of "weird" being thrown around here and there in regards to this track? I donno doesn't sound too "weird" to me ... considering all the other "weird" Melvins have tread into. Quirky perhaps ... weird not so much.

That being said, still a damn nice slab of music ...

So this is 1983? If so really digging the new stuff this line up is churning out the last couple of tunes. Hope we'll hear some more soon.

Idlehanz

Yea, this and American Cow are Melvins 83.

As far as other stuff, Waslby said this about it "Just when I thought you couldn't get anymore stupid, you have taken it to the next level" and my stomach hurt from laughing so much.

I would agree with him.  I wouldn't call it stupid, but there is some hilarious/ridiculous stuff that was recorded.

Well as I said, hope we hear some more of it ... wasn't over the moon 'bout the '83 stuff thus far ... it was good ... but didn't flip my wig or anything. But these last couple ... especially "American Cow" are pretty damn sweet. So yeah, hope they keep 'em coming.

That being said, don't really get the splitting/naming of all the line ups. I mean guess some people would dig that kind of "advanced warning" 'bout what's in them grooves ... though it seems almost anti Melvins in a sense. I think they should just call it all Melvins regardless of the finer points, like line up ... just to fuck with peoples heads and expectations. Open the shrinkwrap (or in the case of the yoot zip file) and dig it ... or don't bitches.

Hey Idle I sent you a PM a spell back 'bout that Seattle '00 gig vid I got. Check your PMs.

I replied to ya.

I would guess that the reason that the different Melvins lineups have happened is because it lets them record different styles ( I know, almost any new Melvins record is a different style ). It also helps to keep the $ from record sales going to the right people who have played in that lineup. And, it's the Melvins. Do it differently. And who can complain about 3 different Melvins lineups?  People might have their favorites, and some might not care for a certain lineup at all, but it's 3 different variations of a loved band.

Dumpster D

First of all, Nothing Wrong with the guitar tone actually.

Second, nothing wrong with having 3 different lineups.

Third, The melvins are calling the shots, and THEY make the Jokes.

anaconda

someone agrees! the listing is now at $150!

Dumpster D

Those Dumb punk kids will buy Anything first of all.

second, I said before and Thus shall be Repeating that;

paying those kinds of prices for limited melvins Merch makes you a winner AND a loser.

"No Sir, I don't like it"

Is this a piss take? The guitar and vocals sound terrible.
