I don't really get the Grohl hate. I don't really like the Foo Fighters but the dude is a killer drummer. Anything he's ever played drums on is top notch in my opinion. I also think he's a pretty funny guy. I just don't think he deserves to be dismissed so much just because of the Foo Fighters.

I love Buzz. I love the Melvins. But, Jesus! I can't paint myself into that corner. He likes a lot of stuff that I don't. He dislikes a lot of stuff that I like. He says Alice In Chains is a totally fake band that got together to make money. OK, if you say so. Doesn't change my opinion of them. When it comes to Grohl, I liked the first Foo Fighters album, but after that I hate all of their music. Most of their songs are a direct rip off of a song that had already been out for some time. Very bland, homogeneous, candyass rock music. Hate to agree with Courtney Love on something like that. His drum parts on the Killing Joke & QOTSA albums are very amazing. Also credited with a stellar guitar part on David Bowie's Heathen album. I have to give him that. Also, I hate his beard!

Jack Black has a punchable face these days because of the awful movies he's been in but Tenacious D are pretty good in small doses.  They're worth checking out if you think high energy, humorous, mostly acoustic rock is something you'd enjoy.

It's odd that Buzz doesn't mention Homme at all, as if he didn't know he was in that band. Didn't Melvins play some shows with Kyuss, or Queens in their early days? I thought I saw a Kozik poster from the late '90s.
