Its ok, he probly used some Silver faced (or black plastic faced) mid 90s Era double deck that Says JVC or Sony on it with a bullshit Maxell UD cassette with no NR or Dbx encoded with heads that havent been seen to since it left the factory.

I bet his wow and flutter measurements would be well over a solid +6 percent Margin on a good day and very faded Response.

Nothing exciting to me about that.

Worse yet, probly recorded over something much more important initially.

Well meezly one, how do you plead to these Tape abuse charges against you.  :disagree:
I plead guilty, your Honor, on 2 out of the 4 charges.
1-Tape Deck: Yes, blackfaced/ No, not from the 90's, 2008.
2-Cassette: Yes, Maxell 46 minute UR, purchased in the mid 90's.
3-Wow And Flutter: Yes, well actually, no fucking clue, so definitely a possibility.
4-Recorded Over Something More Important: No fucking way! It was The Boogie Monsters-Riders On The Storm (Some God awful hip hop act. I borrowed their CD from a friend). King Buzzo is more important than that shit, your Honor.
5-I select tapes for a project based on the running time, so the 46 minute was the way to go on this one ( an album approximately 45 minutes long).
6-I started recording immediately after the leader, because unlike you, I don't have the patience to listen to "pure digital silence", every time I put in a goddam tape. Run And Tell Dat!

I rest my case. And uh, cassettes. Your honor.

You know the first and last 20 seconds on a cassette is no good right.  :?

You've told me that. I only notice it when a tape is ending,
not beginning. That's all that matters to me. What I can hear.

And ANOTHER THING!

No one, Repeat, NO ONE around here makes a tape cassette without my previous consent, acknowledgement or authorized permissions.
Go stand out front of your place, the kid from the pony express
should be along any minute with my request.

Trust me I wait all day long with my shotgun half cocked.

Vinyl arrived today. At last, Amazon pack their records in proper LP packaging, not oversized boxes, the postage was dirt cheap and it only took four days to get here. Impressed.

Gonna drive over to Encore Records in Kitchener, hopefully they have a copy, they are usually really good at getting the good stuff. Suck i have to drive 40min to get to the closest record shop.
I got the shits real bad.

Buzz in a recent interview on his solo tour....

"The Tres Cabrones album has inspired a revolutionary idea involving Melvins's 11 past band members – most of whom were bass players.

"What would be really cool would be to get every incarnation of the band to do one song each on an album," he (Buzz) says. "Maybe some of them won't do it – some of those guys hate my guts – but that's not my fault..." "

That's a cool idea. Can you imagine an album with all these cats on it!

And one song with all of them at once.

Thats a scorcher Idea. In a perfect world this would totally happen and be one of their truest most finest albums yet.

Reality sets in and youre looking at a pretty short line of fill-ins.

LOL, someone better get Dale Nixon on the phone!

Captain Howdy

I'd be happy to step in for any no-shows.  8)

(PAUL)

Hail, not fail.

His ripping on CBGBs, DOA and Gram Parsons are awesome! More bands need to do tour diaries like this.
