Well, it's probably not too likely. As much as i like Dale, i can't really see his style within Sleep. But you never know. Going by what he said in the interview it seemed that it was an already established band and maybe not some new project with known musicians. So i'm just trying to think of fairly well known acts who require a new drummer.

Dale is drumming on new Sleep lp. It started out being a couple tracks recorded (with Toshi I think) and they liked the results enough to record more material. It remains to be seen whether Dale will touring with Sleep and become a member of band. It will be difficult to carve out time with Melvins doing Spring US tour, summer European tour with Redd Kross, and fall US tour with Redd Kross. I think High on Fire have upcoming tours as well.

that part where he says people will get excited and if you know Melvins you know this band well made me think of Sleep. Their manager recently fired J.Roeder ,the drummer (coincidence?) ,and If i remember correctly Matt Pike in a interview said Sleep will probably work on something new. i could obviously be wrong but which other band could it be?

Dale said in some interview last year that he keeps in touch with Al. So it's certainly possible. I still think it's a bit shady on Jason Roeder. As exciting as it would be with Dale, personally i think they should have just stuck with him. Between Melvins and Redd Kross, crover would be stretched pretty thin. I'd hate to see Melvins productivity impeded by a Sleep tour.

i might be wrong but he said this thing should happen next year so let's see what happens.my guess (if our speculations should be correct) is Sleep will be playing some selected big shows, paycheck for Sleep must be pretty good compared to RK's. i see this thing being not so impossible. maybe they already recorded something , could be some single like they did with The Clarity.

and yes I think dale will tour with sleep if this is all real.  ya kidding me?? he wants a piece of those merch sales. I promise you that.

He said they went to record a few songs and ended up doing an album. So it seems it's already done. Any significance that 4/20 is coming up soon!!! Although he did say "next year".
