I feel a bit sorry for Mark. I know on his YouTube channel he occasionally talks about other topics, but it seems he constantly has to answer Melvins questions or make his videos Melvins related to have any engagement or interest. I wonder how he feels about that. Does it annoy him that his 40 year career in music is always diluted down to what he did in Melvins. He at least SEEMS comfortable with that but i do wonder. He must think to himself "i've done so many OTHER things!!".

Been waiting a long time for someone to talk about Honky.

The band had been touring with Tool around that time he said, which I don't know much about either.

I would like to hear a couple 'tour stories' from that tour.

Glad Mark D. named some of the effects that were used on Honky, type of BOSS drum machine they used was something Trent Reznor was using...So I wonder if the Melvins were inspired by some of the Gear NIN was using...When did the Melvins tour with NIN?

As well as naming some other influences, and the band they played with in Germany, what's the name of their band 'Schweizer'? I've seen a Kozik looking poster for those gigs that has a flying rabbit on it, but never checked out that band.

I would like to have heard his DAT recordings/Demos from some of these sessions.

I saw one of their tours together in August'98.  Did a 7 hour drive to Nampa, Idaho (a little outside of Boise) at a big outdoor amphitheater. Melvins were awesome as usual.  There was quite a long break between bands.  I had some mushrooms with me and I put some on a hot dog that I got during the break, and they hit me about two songs into Tool's set. Buzz came out and played second guitar on Stinkfist.  I had two of those old disposable cameras with me.  Got a few decent shots of Melvins but one of the security guards up front took my other camera when I was getting pictures of Tool.

What a Dickhead, wonder why they had a no photo policy at their shows? You bought the ticket.

It's not like you were gonna sell those photos for a lot of money to Rolling stone Magazine...

Times sure have changed.

Look at Concerts now, literally every single person holding up a phone taking crappy videos.

Last I saw Tool they were still kicking people out for filming/photos. It's a losing battle but they fight it nonetheless.
