Big day for old amazonAMAZON's wallet over here. Bought the sticker pack and a NomeansNo shirt from Bifocal.

Then new stuff dropped on the Ween store. I'm shying away from the vinyl that everyone's clamoring for. But I had to get the 10-album CD box set, two copies of the upcoming 1996 tour compilation, and then that silly soap-on-a-rope for god knows what reason. I guess it's about the same as these Melvins stickers I'll never stick on anything.

I'll take these stickers over most of Haze's Melvins shirt designs. Some are just ugly (eggnog!), and the coolest ones are usually full of Nazi imagery for some inexplicable reason. It is alarming how long the band has carried on this edgelord shit.

Anything in their store worth checking out? Big love for Ween.

Honestly I haven't been keeping up, I dunno, some of the Ween T-shirts aren't quite to my taste aesthetically, but I'm sure there's some cool Ween stuff available.

What's your favourite Ween Shirt design?

...And another thing...I don't even remember 'subscribing to Bifocal media and I get more goddamn Junk mail offerings from them for all their sold out merch per week than Linkedin has ever sent me spam in the last 2 decades.

It's been so long I don't even remember if I ever even bought anything from bifocal in the first place, I think maybe the HAT B-sides HAze T-shirt?? I was LUCKY to even get one of those I think they put out a bigger run of those or something, one of you guys tipped me off, I actually gave up and presumed they'd all be sold out and didn't even bother to check.

Anything I'm interested in is usually sold out in .3 seconds anyway.

I'll be in my room listening to my Britney Spears records if anyone needs me.

The coveted Ween item is still the Chocolate and Cheese champion belt. They put one up today and apparently it sold in minutes.

Rhino Records took on the catalog so they started releasing a good number of things promptly. The CD box set of all their albums is new (pre-order). The Quebec and White Pepper vinyl are long awaited reissues.

I agree with your take on their merch. I've bought four apparel items from them over the years. Embroidered socks I love and I wear all the time. I have a shirt that was clearance from their New York show (which I didn't attend) but it was a clever take on the I heart NY theme. The other two shirts were clearance impulse buys, but I ended up not wearing them. Weird fit, kind of bummer designs. Sometimes a band with a lot of lore will go too far on insider stuff and forget that clothing designs still need to be wearable around people who don't know your band.

Was there any insider significance to the 'Mighty mouse' Boognish T-shirt design?

I just want a regular plane old boognish shirt. My favorite ween merch is a hoodie that has the baby weeners playing with a weasel.
I have to double check to see if I have White pepper, but they did re issue that and Quebec. I'm pretty sure I have all of their studio records on vinyl except for Pure Guava.

As for The Haze stuff...looks like he bought a store north of the city and as far as I know was planning to fill it with oddities and other fun stuff he's had in storage. His Studio has so many amazing artifacts - boxes and boxes of history!

I haven't seen any updates, but I heard his son was maybe going to run it. It's a cool looking building with some retro tiles and groovy vibes. I'm looking forward to visiting it when it opens.

I've always wanted to drink Schnapps and eat Bratwurst while romantically digressing about WWII history nerd stuff with that fine Gentleman.

No, it was just a popular shirt they sold on their site (Chocodog) starting back around maybe Quebec/Shinola era. I think Deaner had a hand in the merch direction in that era and he grew up with 70s and early 80s TV culture. I've only seen them with blank backs, but they might have been a tour shirt at one point.

I'm guessing around 2002-2004 or so?

Pretty sure I saw someone at a random show wearing one back in the day.
