wow! the show was great...was standing in a bad location but had to deal with it...bad area being everyone that was going to and from the bar to the mosh pit was passing by me and the wife. back to the show; the one eyed jacks front bar is an awesome place to hang and have a few drinks what sucked was that it didn't open until 9pm we didn't hear the first drum kit until 10:30. the sound was top notch...hats off to the sound guys. dale and coady were ON all night they were the driving force of tempo and mood of all the music played. there were a few sweet moments when big business was on stage and they just flat out were playing as if they were Siamese twins at birth. Jarrod's voice was a tad bit drowned out by the intense drum core, but it was all good. by the way Jarrod was sporting a black grizzly bear t-shirt. where does he get these shirts from the sale rack at the nearest kmart. bunch of old school fans, but a ton of newbies...i mean i don't mind hanging around newbies, that are there to rock  but by god show that you can even hear the beat and see the stage....the melvins didn't get started until almost 12 which was pretty late for family man and two kids ass. any way, there was a newbie  guy next to me that didn't even acknowledge the fact dog island was playing...who in the hell can't get in the grove to that song...i literally used all my energy not to rip my on head off or from head butting my wife. i lost my glasses two or three times. i told the guy on the left of me if you don't get into dog island you are at the wrong show...after the song he was speechless. i did see the guy get throw out and some fool threw a entire drink at him on the way out...sorry man...the band picked up shortly after that from the same spot in the song. it was about quarter of the way into the entire set. they played one song in which i had no recolection of name or album, but some of the crowd was into it. they played the usual set plus our national anthem, history of bad men(wow), tipping the lion(wowx2)...and even better they rapped things up with i think was a song off of bullhead and if i had an exorcism. sorry but forgot my camera in the room and was too cheap to buy any posters.

i sure hope to god they didnt play If I Had An Exorcism, cuz that song is amazing and I'll pissed that I didn't get to hear it!

You're 40 years old is exactly why you shouldn't be bouncing around like a 16 year old kid at a Minor Threat concert in1981. You are annoying to people that want to rock out to the music being played in 2008. You are more like an irritating gnat to anyone standing near you trying to focus on the Melvins. Now, I do not question your love for the Melvins at all. I think we can both agree on the fact that the Melvins are the greatest band in the history of the world. I have not been to a Melvins show in NOLA. And I do thank NOLA for EYEHATEGOD. I have seen the Melvins in Tacoma, Olympia, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles. All of the crowds were pretty mellow, Los Angeles especially. I have been to my fair share of punk shows as well as metal, jazz, rock, noise, rap and experimental. The first time I saw Melvins was in 1987 opening for D.R.I. in Tacoma Washington. It was a great show. I know you would have loved it.

Lemme tell you, this guy is hardcore.  I mean, he's twice my age and rocks 4 times as hard.  (okay, he's only 8 years older than me...). 

I understand that bands have the right to eject people who are being dicks, and I've seen the Melvins eject people who deserved it.  However, they need to be a little more careful and make sure they're not fucking over innocent dudes.  I've known this man for 8 years, and he would NEVER harm a fellow bass player intentionally.  Melvins owe this man some t-shirts and drugs.
