word up.   was there ever a more relevant and key elemental factor than dale's drums in a band?
me thinks no.     to me this is a part of the MELVINS foundation.  the fact that each piece was just as crucial to the next in the creation of a MELVINS track.   something you rarely see in a band. something that made them exceptional.

especially refering to those first 3 or 4 foundation albums.  without dale melvins would have likely not become the monsters they became.   to me dale was just as crucial as buzz was.

I totally agree with everything y'all say...i just don't (didn't) care for the song, though I like the new one better now.  Hell I almost fell over while they were playing it. 

i am not a giant melvens fan, but a good and true fan none the less.  I have liked them a long time and respect what they do and how they do it.  They make some of the greatest albums.  They would be in the top 10 of my favorate bands.  I dig Altamont much more.  Shit Dale is one of the nicest and down to earth people I met and hung out with at a show.  Other than Rey Washem, Dale is one of the best living drummers.

Glen, like you, I am sick of civilized worm and the trioligy for that matter.  I would rather hear them play skin horse or the last have of stag or the amazons.  And don't get me started on night goat.  that has not been a favorate of mine either and glad they are not playing it now.  (flame away if you must).

Even my favorate band I have a whole album I hate but maybe 1 or 2 songs.

The Anti-Vermin Seed is this song, but better in every way. It's not like Flys Eyes is bad, but I'd say it's among the worst of their drawn-out, atmospheric things. 

I'd say it's one of their best of all of their things. I would never want to dismiss your opinion as wrong, but I'm secretly thinking it in this case.

They should re-record the song with the new lineup. That would be pretty intense.
